“Ancient school in Fes”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Ancient madrasah (school) with calligraphic tiling, beautiful stonework, lattice work. A small calming and charming place like many secrets behind doors in Fes.

“Beautiful tranquil place in the middle of the of the crazy madina”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

Amazingly beautiful with a deep history, if you have an appreciation of art and architecture you will love this. Its amazing to see such an old islamic school. So beautiful. be sure to take a camera. This is not a full day out but a 15 minute stop while passing through the medina. At only £1 entry its well worth it.

“Not too impressed”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

Architecture, history, decoration and art work are very nice. The water fountains did not have water. Nice place to visit if you are in the zone.

You will be amazed by the architecture and history behind this merdersa (Muslim school of old), especially the courtyard.

“Elegant but dry!”
Reviewed 21 May 2014

Lovely building with sublime tiling and decoration. Disappointing that the fountains were dry - it's a little thing, but since the water features are central to the design of the courtyard, the space would have been much more evocative - and pleasant.
