“Incredible Islamic architecture”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

this is a great example of Marinid (Berber) architecture so it is a must see. It is in the Medina, once you enter it you are immediately impressed by the peace and quiet. It is quite big with incredible wooden ceilings. It served as both a mosque and a school. Definitely put this on your list.

“Nice to visit, not much to see”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

You could visit this Madersa (between prayer times) or the other one in Fes and basically see all you need to see. No need to go to both. No tour guide or even brochure. Costs 10 dirham.

“Architecture”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

A hidden gem within the Medina. Intricate stonework and woodwork. A place of calm and relaxation, without the tourists.

“Most famous Medersa in Fez”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

Do not miss visiting this medersa, rich in Andalousian architecture. Do recommend you visit with a guide who can explain its rich historical attributes.

“Incredible artistry”
Reviewed 18 May 2014

Layer upon layer of intricate stonework, wood and zellij. Calm and beautiful even though it is right in the busy medina. Very inexpensive to get in.
