The staff are really nice and lovely, we had dinner and it was one of the best Tajine we have had in morocco. Breakfast is like home breakfast, the place is great and in old-fashion way. This is what is in my head when you say morocco. It is really close to medina. The internet connection is slow, but who needs internet when you have an orange tree and a fountain in front of you?
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- Riad Le Sucrier De Fès is a traditional house situated in the largest and most beautiful medina in Morocco, an area steeped in history and culture. Almost a hundred years old, the house is built in the Andalusian style around a central garden courtyard. Behind these high walls lies a sanctuary of colourful mosaics, tall columns, a fountain, trees and singing birds. The house is decorated in traditional Moroccan style with quality furniture and rich fabrics. Magnificently carved cedarwood doors lead off the courtyard to the large suites and the salon. A mosaic staircase winds up to the roof terrace which boats views across the city of Fès to the Merenid tombs and the mountains beyond. The resident owners of Le Sucrier De Fès and the friendly local staff have created a comfortable and convivial guest house. ... more less
