We had a lovely stay at Riad Norma. Monique and her staff, especially Mustafa, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and we received lots of personal attention. The location is great for a riad in the medina because it's close to one of the gates, so a taxi can get close to it (which is helpful both for getting your luggage in and for locating the riad in the maze of the medina). The riad itself was lovingly restored by its owner and is beautiful. One of the best parts is the garden, which has a sitting area around a beautiful plunge pool. My only small suggestion would be to update some of the linens and towel, which are beginning to show some signs of age (although very clean). Otherwise, a perfectly lovely stay!

Elegant exteriors ,interiors and a room. Relaxing moment. Walking distance from medina.
When I felt physically sick, they looked after me kindly.

Riad Norma is a fantastic hotel with three main strengths. One: It has a fantastic atmosphere and setting. The central courtyard lit by lamp light at night is magical. Two: Incredible food. The chef is fantastic serving freshly prepared Moroccan cuisine with a French twist. Breakfasts of hot Bedouin pancakes with local honey and French coffee is the perfect start to a day of site seeing. Finally the staff and owner are incredibly helpful, kind and speak perfect English. They could not have done more to make my stay more enjoyable and I hope to return soon when another escape and break is needed.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor are advisable as being directly off the main court yard at ground floor lev...

An oasis inside Fez medina. Our safe and restoring refuge after a day tour in the medina.
Very near one of the entrance doors of the Medina.
Very nice big room(Lucia) on the first floor, according with requested room facilities and details, agreed by emails before booking. As it was still winter time, the room had efficient reversible AC /heating. Very well decorated, clean and bright wiht 3 big windows to the internal patio. Big and confortable bed. Riad personell was very friendly and perfect in all aspects.
Very cosy atmosphere in the common parts of the Riad.
We had dinner twice there. The staff was able to provide us delicious vegetarian meals served near the fireplace.
Madame Monique was always supervising every detail. Very friendly and paying attention to the minimum guests thoughts and wishes. Also the staff: Mustapha, Adjani and others were very efficient.
It is a place highly recommended and surely to return again.

Great place. Beautiful building: elegant, cosy, romantic. Very well run by an attentive owner. Rooms are super and the garden is also pleasant, with a nice small pool to plung and refresh. Not in the town centre but very close to it (15 mins walk). We enjoyed our stay.

This is a wonderful place to stay, within walking distance of most of the sights/sites of Fez. It is a beautifully restored riad with a shady garden where we could relax after exploring fascinating Fez. Monique and her staff were endlessly hospitable and charming. We had copious and delicious breakfasts and dinners served in the garden. Moroccan specialities ( and good local wines) and some French; a vegetarian was well catered for too. The bedrooms are large, traditionally decorated and furnished. The bathrooms also large and spotless.

Absolutely superb, very friendly and welcoming. The restored building is beautiful and opens onto an attractive garden with outside pool. Room was large and comfortable and meals were excellent. Owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is good: in the Medina but close to a gate so that a taxi can get near.
