“Great Fes Riad”
Reviewed 19 May 2014

We stayed in a very 'Moroccan' room. Our friends stayed in a 'modern' room, with a distant view. Both rooms were fantastic. Full of character. The manager was extremely charming, informative, and helpful. The dramatic dining room was wonderful for dinner and breakfast, although we also had breakfast on the terrace one morning. Convenient to the souks, etc. Also, have dinner at the sister Riad: Le Maison Bleue, only 5 minutes away.

Room Tip: Whichever you want is great.

The hotel is very good and employees very nice. Location is excellent. Staff is very helpfull. We had a problem with our car and the staff was 5 star in helping us solve the problem. Took us to a garage and assisted all the time.

We stayed here with a group of 5. Our room was very nice, bathroom could use a bit of attention but everything functioned well and amenities were very nice. This is a small boutique hotel, not a big chain job.
We were greeted with stuffed dates, we ate dinner on the terrace twice. We recall the chicken tagine often... It was the best we had while in Morocco. I would LOVE the recipe. We loved the Hammam. Also the best on our trip. The maze of stairs was charming. This wouldn't be an ideal place for anyone challenged by walking. It was a very fond memory on a fabulous trip.

We stayed 2 nights in this fantastic riad and the experience was exceptional! The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We ate dinner at the restaurant both nights and both the quality of the food and the service were outstanding. Same for breakfast, excellent quality and service. The staff here are unbelievable. Every employee we encountered during our stay was competent, friendly, and attentive to our every need. Upon our departure we received a send-off from almost every employee in the hotel. I can't say enough about the overall experience. Should we ever return to Fes we won't consider staying anywhere but the Maison Bleue.

Arriving at the front door of the Riad was quite unusual. A walk from the car park with a man taking our luggage on a trolley. A bit further down a narrow alleyway to a door in the blank wall of a substantial building, et Abracadabra, there was a superb hotel behind the door. It provided excellent service from all staff. One person in particular, Idriss gave the finest personal attention we have ever experienced. Gluten free breakfast cereals and bread on request, a first class packed lunch for the train journey to Marrakesh. Our room was superb overlooking the courtyard and with cool evenings, the thoughtfulness of providing electric blankets was so welcome.
Even the odd upstairs/then downstairs to get to the dining room was interesting and justified by the excellent meals provided and their restaurant of the same name was first class. A thoroughly enjoyable stay in what is one of the best experiences we have ever had..

We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Riad Maison Bleue. The staff is outstanding! Very attentive and friendly. Our room was exquisite. It was extremely well thought-out and comfortable with lovely Moroccan touches. And the common areas of the riad were just beautiful; truly a lovely oasis in a fascinating city. And the food !!! We ate dinner twice in the restaurant. After a very full day of sight seeing, why leave such a beautiful spot with a wonderful menu? In Fez, this is the place to stay! You deserve it!

My family and I spent three nights at Riad Maison Bleue (my wife and me in one suite and our three teenage daughters in another) and had a lovely time. It's beautiful, great service, great food and only a few steps from the medina.
