This is a perfect Riad to stay in during the Intl. Sacred Music Festival - and other times as well. It is in the old Medina which has it's own charm - AND you need to be comfortable with old and sometimes smelly!! But for the music festival it was perfect because it was within easy walking distance of ALL the music venues and restaurants and is near the perimeter so a taxi can take you right to the door. (Much of the medina is pedestrian/donkeys only so this can be important). ALL of the staff were very helpful, the courtyard was so peaceful and the breakfasts were wonderful. And the collection of artifacts in the hallway and rooms made you feel like you were in a living museum. Would definitely come back here again.

We really enjoyed our stay with family at this Riad. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the riad is nice and perfectly located for walking tour in the medina. A gorgeous breakfast is served in the courtyard. Restaurant is probably slightly overpriced for Morocco but it was very good and different then the traditional tajine you are served everywhere. Really recommended overall.

The riads courtyard was breath taking and staff was wonderful.

The breakfast was the best we had out of our 4 riads.

Unfortunately the toilet was leaking water onto the bathroom floor. The bathroom floor was soaking wet our entire stay.

Unlike the other riads, you didn't receive any keys for your room. So remember to take your important belongings with you when you are out and about and remember to pack shower flip flops.

we travelled as part of a larger group that booked the whole riad for one night

let's start with the positive:

the room was spacious, with nice decorations and appeared clean.
the dinner was excellent, breakfast very nice, the staff friendly

the negative:

the room smelled strongly of mold, and despite the bad lighting we could identify large areas on the bathroom wall that were infested with mold
the heating was happily already turned on when we entered the room, which was a blessing as we suffered from cold during the whole trip, but it did not seem to heat the corner of the room where the bed was.
The so called door did not close properly, and that's a bit of a problem when the heating is not quite working, and the temperatures drop to freezing point during the night. Luckily we had brought sleeping bags. Really warm sleeping bags.

And the best bit at the end: I tried to have a shower in this place, but there was no way to get warm water: I could only get cold or boiling hot water, and so I had to de-soap in the intervals when it was transitioning between icy and blistering. So there I was, half soapy, skin on my neck and shoulders well cooked, feet in freezing water. And then the power went out.

Room Tip: not on the top floor.

We spent 4 nights at this Riad in October. The rooms are full of collections of Moroccan crafts strikingly displayed. We stayed in two different rooms. The larger room was extremely spacious with a roomy bath, lounging space and dining table. To save a bit of $ we moved to a smaller room which was a very reasonable size and also beautifully decorated. The relaxing, comfortable courtyard has a fountain, extensive plantings and the added attraction of two tortoises wandering about. Excellent food for dinner and breakfast. The staff spoke English well and were extremely helpful - assisting in finding a guide, giving directions and packing a generous lunch for our train trip out.
