We stayed there for two nights. The house has been built long long time ago and every decoration is very moroccan style. We were warmly welcomed by Zuhair upon our arrival. The food was super tasty and was the best I had in Morocco.

It was also very grateful that upon our special request, Dar Seffarine prepared us delicious salad as our lunch though it was not their usual practice.

In the last day, we checked out so early. It was so nice that they prepared simple breakfast with hot tea and coffee for us and arranged caretaker to stand by outside our room to carry our lugguages from the upstairs.

Thanks to Zuhair, Muhammed and their team for their attentive service. I do recommend Dar Seffarine to other travellers.

My friend and I found this Rhiad on Internet when looking for accommodation in Fes Medina. The best find ever. We loved everything about this place - the look, the room, the people, the sight from the roof top, the food!!! , the meals together with other tourists, the information which the owners gave us about the architecture of this place, the tour guide they arranged for us......
Mohamed and Zouhir's English was very good and they did not mind to answer all our questions.
For me the stay in Dar Saffarine was the best of our 4 different accommodations in Morocco.
Thank you for a big treat.

Room Tip: Read reviews . Look at the location - where to you want to go from there. Check out transport. Pictures also help

Dar Seffarine lives up to its expectations and beyond. Muhammed and Zuhair, the 2 caretakers, and the rest of the staff truely know how to take care of their guests. Muhammed and I spent many hours talking...he is such a pleasure to be around. The riad is beautifully restored, retaining all of its original charm. The rooftop area and view....my god, it was so hard to say goodbye. Make a point to eat dinner there at least once...the food that Zuhair's mother cooks is by far the best Ive had in morocco traveling around for over 3 weeks. I 100% will be coming back for a longer visit, 3 days was no where near enough time to fully take in the medina. They will set up a guide for you, but if you ask me don't....its far better to wander off and get lost!!! Enjoy your stay, you wont regret it. And a big thank you to my Fez family!!!! Best, Peter

What an amazing find! Tucked away in the maze of the medina, Dar Seffarine was a sanctuary among the chaos of Fes, but also a personal, friendly home with breathtaking views and architecture. The owners were warm, welcoming, and extremely accommodating, making travelers feel completely relaxed and spoiled - but also like you found a secret paradise in the medina. From pick-up, dinner arrangements, and organizing a guided tour - this was an unforgettable experience.

Leave behind the hustle and bustle of the souks as you enter the door into a paradise ... the gloriously restored Dar Seffarine. Attention to detail and the "little things" make this THE place to stay in Fes. After arriving on a 10pm train, host/architect Alaa arranged for us to be met at Place Rcif and guided to the riad. We were greeted upon arrival with a glass of mint tea and homemade treats that were very welcome after a long journey. Alaa took the time to chat with us to explain the history of the riad, show us the house and provide us with a map of the medina. We were lucky enough to spend the first night of our stay in the Kobbe Suite, which has to be seen to be believed, it is stunningly beautiful - you will definitely feel like royalty! Every room and suite is gorgeous, from the comfy furniture to the rugs, cushions and ceramic tiles. Another highlight of our stay was the delicious and plentiful communal breakfasts (and optional dinners), sharing stories with other travelers. The staff are friendly and helpful, organising drivers for day trips and making sure we wanted for nothing. Add in WiFi and a location in the heart of the Medina. Highly recommended.
