Inside but just barely, thankfully, because the Fes medina is huge, labyrinthine. We were astonished by this place. The room decorations lavish. Only down-side: internet was flaky at best. We were on the first floor and breakfast is a long hike up to the third. Very traditional fare, and very tasty. One more flight up and you're on the roof for a great sunrise view.

Room Tip: There is a huge room on the first floor that has a second, private bedroom up one flight of stairs f...

At the end of March we stayed for three nights in this riad. It is situated at the edge of the medina and not on the inside and it is an ideal starting point for visiting the different parts of Fes. We had a room just below the roof terrace (the best level to stay we think). The riad is very clean, beautiful furnished, well renovated.
Friendly and helpful personnel, fine breakfast. We were happy there.
Comparing Fes with Marrakech: Fes is more interesting to visit. We enjoyed Fes very much.

This Riad is beautifully decorated from bottom to top. Our guide booked a nice suite which was nicely furnished, clean and large. The staff were excellent and easy to help whenever we needed their help . We highly recommend it if you want to have a good Holiday in Fez.

Other than the fact that this a beautifully decorated and restored Riad, which really transports you to another time, the staff was always willing to make any accommodation to make our stay the best possible. The roof terrace also makes for a perfect spot for breakfast.

By decorating in the traditional way and using antique furniture, this riad really made us feel quite Moroccan. Loved the flowers to greet in the central fountain and the lush fabrics. Add to that huge rooms and modern bathrooms. Also the staff were very helpful when my husband needed some medical attention. They brought a doctor in, translated, and then took him to the nearest pharmacy for the prescription, which saved time and worry. Great to have breakfast up on the roof with a view. Be prepared for stairs for most riads are too old to have lifts.

Room Tip: Rooms are all decorated differently. Ours was a group booking so cannot comment on other size rooms...

This was the last riad in a 12 day tour of Morocco and was by far the best and most beautiful. The interior decorative design was breathtaking. The family suite was massive, very comfortable and warm - even in winter and despite the tall ceilings. Abdul, the manager was friendly and extremely helpful. The food was delicious and it was a nice change to eat on the top floor/terrace - the stairs only help to build up an appetite. Good location near the Blue Gate and Souks - beware of young kids acting as guides.

We stayed for 2 nights at the Hotel. It was the most beautiful Riad we saw on our whole 10 day trip through Morocco. The staff is extremely friendly and the rooms as well as the rest of the hotel gives you a feeling of 1001 night. Rooms are spacious with wonderful ceilings and ancient furniture and a modern bath room. The Riad is located right at the entrance to the Medina, hence perfect to discover the old town of Fes. There is a safe nearby parking available for c. €2 per night.
We can really recommend this Riad to anyone interested in staying at a real ancient Moroccan villa with friendly staff and comfortable facilities.
