The moment we walked into this riad, we were greeted with mint tea and cookies in a beautiful courtyard with fancy decor. This riad had phenomenal service. The man who hosted us here took really good care of us during our two-night stay. I'm not sure if he was a manager but he seemed to run things. He took care of our needs and always made sure we were happy. He did not speak much English but spoke very good Spanish. I know a lot of Spanish, so between my broken Lebanese accented Arabic and Spanish, I was able to communicate and converse with him. He had a good sense of humor and always had a big, bright smile on his face. He knew how to give great customer service which is what made this riad so enjoyable. He let me borrow the computer in the office so I could send emails home since I did not bring a laptop with me. When we asked for extra pillows, we got us them. Whatever we needed, he was there for us. The dinner served in the courtyard was delicious. The appetizers were amazing. We were served so many fresh salads and relishes before our main entree. The chicken tagine had a savory sauce and delicious chicken that melted off the bone because it was so fresh and juicy.

The rooms in this riad are spacious and colorful and have modern bathrooms. The riad is located in a part of the medina that is not too busy and noisy. Getting to the riad from the main road outside the medina was an easy walk. There are some restaurants in the neighborhood of this riad. The local people in this neighborhood of the medina were very welcoming and kind to visitors. The views from the terrace of this riad are magnificent, especially at night.

If anyone is interested in visiting Fes, I would highly recommend staying in this riad. You will not be disappointed.

Ibrahim - his liveliness, positive outlook and hospitality is definitely the highlight of this beautiful Riad. Location wise, it's a short walk to the entrance of the Medina, also nearby a 5 star hotel. We felt safe walking to and from the Riad itself, close enough to get to the hustle-bustle of Fez with a guide. Without a guide it is very easy to not find your way home!

The inside has a nice garden/fountain as well as a charming eating area. To get to the rooms you have to climb pretty steep stairs so be prepared for a workout. Great strong, powerful hairdryer in the rooms - If you're a woman this will make your day :) Beds were a little hard but that is the only complaint...

We had the best Moroccan meal here, the Moroccan Salad and Chicken Tagine were fabulous, no other food on the trip compared. Breakfast was a nice selection also.

In the evenings, make sure you check out the rooftop - amazing views of Fes! We enjoyed chilling up there, listening to Ibrahim's stories, drinking mint tea as it gets cooler at night and playing drums & singing since we had the Riad all to ourselves. Fes is a such a unique city - very medieval and charming. Can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent our honeymoon traveling through Spain and Morocco and a friend of mine treated us to a night at Riad Tafilalet while we were in Fes. She had stayed there several times before and could not recommend the beauty and hospitality of the riad and the delicious food enough - it is her favorite place to travel to! Even with such high expectations, we were not disappointed.
The staff are all amazing hosts - we were treated to the best service we've ever experienced while traveling. All of the gentlemen who run the riad were extremely kind and generous from the moment they picked us up from the train station until they dropped us off there for our overnight train to Marrakesh at 1am. We ate breakfast and dinner at the riad and they were the best meals we had during our entire honeymoon. The lemon chicken cooked in a tagine was unbelievable, we dream about that meal to this day.
The riad is gorgeous, like stepping into a secret garden after navigating the winding paths just outside the market. It's quiet and serene, a reprise from the hussle of the medina. We made our way to the rooftop terrace at sunset to take in the expansive views and relax one our first night there. The next morning they arranged for a guide to take us through the medina and a driver to show us the outlying areas, both of whom were extremely friendly and helpful. We even stayed in the room with the bathroom on the lower level, and while the stairs are steep, it's by no means too small for two people with their luggage. It's a beautifuly cozy room that we loved staying in. Riad Tafilalet is a gem of a find and whenever we get a chance to make it back to Morocco we will be sure to stay here again.

We have very much enjoyed our stayed at Riad Tafilalet. We have stayed in a large beautiful room that had great colorful windows opening into the courtyard of the riad. The room was really spacious and big. The staff there was very friendly and nice. The food was excellent there and we have dine there both nights on our stayed as we have enjoy the meal so much. The views from the terrace of the riad are very nice.

Breakfast was great! Terasse was splendid! Rooms are spacious. In one word "great". One minor glitch though, first evening when we were new to Fes, the owner suggested a restaurant that skinned us alive - Dar Hatim. The most expensive place we've ever been to Morocco.

This is the best place I ever stayed outside home. The Riad is simply fantastic, decoration is wonderful, staff (Ibrain) makes you feel like room. We spent one week in Morocco and besides all the incredibles things one can see in this country, this Riad was an absolute highlight. Breakfast is undescrible, typical morrocan things were served, very fresh. I highly recommend this accomodation for those visiting Fès.
