“Great riad in the Fes medina”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2013

I travelled to Fes with some friends last week and spent the night at Riad Dar Chrifa. The riad staff and service were all excellent. Upon arrival, they served us Moroccan mint tea and these delicious coconut cookies and served us homemade breakfast in the morning. The rooms we had were nice, spacious, and very clean. We enjoyed the view of the medina from the terrace. I would recommend this riad to those travelling to Fes. The riad is located in the Fes medina, just about a 10 minute walk to the central part of the Medina.

A fine riad for a stay in Fes. 5 minutes walk to the Medina. Friendly staff with English spoken. A good view from the roof terrace and big, comfortable double beds. I stayed for a week and I was made to feel very welcome. I recommend this particularly if you value a bit of peace and quiet.

This is the second time for me in Riad Dar Chrifa. The Riad designed in the old architectural style. The building itself is beautiful with wonderful tile work mosaics and carved designs. It is authentic, romantic and feels other-worldly. The service was spectacular, the restaurant was very nice. The view from the terrace is very beautiful. The guestrooms are spacious and beautifully appointed and very clean. Location is perfect.
Very reasonable pricing, worth a visit.
The staff is very nice and smiling. Also we appreciate the direct access by car and the parking near to the Riad gate.
I will definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again on a visit back to Fes. Thank you so much for those excellent memories.

Room Tip: I will definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again on a visit back to Fes.

I am amazed no one has reviewed this property in the last 12 months. Hanane was very hospitable and promptly replied to my bookings. It is only a short walk to the medina, fantastic terrace with views over the medina, very clean and quiet, one great thing about not being reviewed for ages was I literally had the place to myself for the 4 nights. Definately would stay here again next visit to fez. The only thing I would change was I should have asked them for a female guide to take me around the old city( although I had a great guide)

My wife and I spent two magnificent nights in the riad chrifa.
The place is as incredible as the staff and we had an overall 5 star experience.

Our group of 10 motorcyclists stayed here for one night. The 10 bikes were parked nearby in a supervised basement car park - no problem.

There is nothing to see on the outside of the Riad and even the nameplate is small and easily missed.

However, once inside the place is amazing, you now know you are in a different culture - a centre courtyard with comfortable seating, a high sliding roof and three floors of very ornate inward facing balconies. Lovely view from the rooftop. Every room was unique. Staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good too.

The staff arranged a guide for us for a 3 hour morning trip. Getting a guide is definitely recommended. Fes is a really fascinating place (sights, sounds and especially smells) and with a guide you see the best places (much more interesting than Marrakech) in a short time and without getting pestered in the street.

Tannery has to be the worst job in the world and you will be lucky to leave Fes without a leather belt or a carpet.

I got a very warm welcome in the Hotel. And during my stay of 4 nights I got all the information I needed and very hearty discussions. The Patio in the hotel is great. And the rooms are in the style of 1001 nights. Every room is different. The hotel itself is very calm and the view over the old town Fes from the roof is fantastic.

Room Tip: Let you show the rooms when you are there.
