Thank you for this very nice stay.

The location of the Dar is very central for a tourism purpose. The owner and his team are very welcoming and helpful.

Don't hesitate to order the diner, the meal is delicious, the extra diram required worth it.

The upper rooms are great for 2 couples ... There is a small living room

Nice stay there!

A four day visit to the Fez medina had it's perfect beginning by being accompanied to the door by the driver who met us at the airport. We were welcomed by Abdul and shown around the beautifully restored dar. Dinner on the panoramic terrace prepared by Mustafa and his wife was delicious. The location is right off the main street of Tala'a Kbira so just out the door you are right in the middle of the medina and just a few minutes walk to the major sights. The Cafè Clock, hang-out for visitors and ex-pats is a few minutes away, and a great place to go if you need a light meal or want to listen to live music on Sunday evening. In particular I want to thank all of the staff of Dar El Menia and Graham for their help and kindness. I think the most lasting impression we have of Morocco is the warmth and generosity of it's people. If you want a 'full immersion' experience of Fez, stay at Dar El Menia. I certainly hope to return!!!

We loved this Dar: the decor, the location and last, but not least, the welcome and helpfulness of Graeme and his staff. After the confusion and bustle of the medina, it was an oasis of tranquillity. The rooftop terrace was the ideal place to kick back and relax in the evening and listen to the numerous calls to prayer; incredibly atmospheric! There was a plentiful and tasty breakfast, also served on the terrace, to start the day in style. We didn't have dinner so can't comment. Definitely recommend this place.

Staying in Dar el Menia really made us feel like having a home in another city. A fantastic welcome when we arrived after a journey in the night: breakfast on the rooftop terrace. We could not have wished for a better start of our stay in Fes. Friendly owner and staff, relaxed atmosphere, evening home cooked Moroccan dinners at the rooftop, and last but not : a beautiful house! So, plans to go to Fes? Dar el Menia is a great place to stay! We will certainly go back! Lucas van der Wee and Marlies Bedeker, Delft, the Netherlands

I was a little nervous about being able to find a house inside of the giant Fes medina, but I had nothing to worry about as Dar El Menia sent someone to meet me right at my taxi as I arrived. The location is perfect-- right next to one of the main streets so it's easy to find your way back. The small staff at Dar El Menia is helpful, energetic, and ready to give directions or touring information at anytime. The rooms were quaint and well decorated, not overdone. With only 4 (I think) rooms, the house has an intimate feel and all guests eat beakfast together on the roof terrace. The perfect place to stay and imagine you really are a Fesi.

Best -- the staff
Worst-- if you're over 6 ft tall, don't stay in the room on the first floor-- low ceiling!

We only stayed here the first night in Morocco before getting picked up to go to the desert. The owner was really accomodating in getting us a room and helping us get to the house. Abdul was fantastic....he helped us figure out a plan for seeing the medina on our own and generally was a great help. I wish we could have stayed longer to hang out with him some more. I was really impressed with how well this place was restored and the location. Breakfast was awesome, and we also enjoyed dinner on the terrace. Sadly we had to move on, but I felt like we made the most of our time thanks to help of everyone at this place. My only complaint is that our sink didn't drain, but I'm sure that would have been fixed quickly had we not been leaving an hour later.
