We couldn't have wished for a better base for our first visit to Marrakech. The staff were very friendly and willing to help arrange any trips, even at short notice when a tour we had pre-booked (not through the riad) was cancelled. The meals were very enjoyable. The medina is a maze and getting lost is part of the fun, but once we had found our bearings we realised that this is very well placed for getting to the main square or heading out to try different restaurants for lunch or dinner. We had the cheap room and it was small but still everything we needed, and we loved its unofficial private balcony.
