“One Week Holiday - May 2014”

This is our 5th visit to Eden Andalou and sorry to say it will be our last. As we are frequent guests we know what standards the hotel had previously and these have not been kept in the last 12 months (we were there June 2013). We reported the air conditioning and the fridge of not working correctly - not fixed. The AC would not go any lower than 24 and sleeping was very difficult. The fridge door would not close which meant our food/milk/drinks were not kept cool. It was agreed by the owner of the hotel on our 2nd night that we could have three Bacardis per night, they refused to refund the two each we had on the night of the agreement, we didn't bother having any again until our last night and they had run out but didn't bother telling us and we were given Havana Club - not to our taste at all. The all inclusive bar had been moved under cover and was not manned sufficiently. Afternoon snacks were 17:00 this is too close to the evening meal, 16:00 would be much better. The hotel was extremely busy, which meant it was like a swarm of locusts at afternoon snack time, which was just horrible, I had food taken from my plate!! The entertainment programme has been changed, there is no pre recorded music to dance to, but the same duo every single night who do not sing English songs well (not sure how their French was as I don't speak French). No urge to get up and boogie!
Some of the positives are still there, the hotel is kept very clean and the staff are very friendly. Zoubar and Youssef (bar tender) Youseff (Atlas restaurant) deserve a special mention. The location from the airport is brilliant and the services at the Spa are also very good. There was plenty of pool activities should you want them and the pool is very refreshing. The food is very good, although would like to have seen the pizza and barbeque making areas back which were there last year.

Just came back from Eden andalou, had a fantastic time. The rooms where very nice always kept clean, the food was delicious, all staff were very friendly and helpful. The entertainment team was very good especially nanoo. The hotel was very good overall and the swimming area is also nice and spacious. We went for a free hamam in the spa which was also very good. The reception staff where able to answer all questions and where also very nice. Myself and all my friends had a fantastic time and will be returning next year.

I was completely satisfied with my last stay at Hotel Eden Andalou in February. I had been worried about the hotel reading some reviews with some issues. The service was much better than my expectation. The room was very clean, food at the buffet restaurant was fantastic! There was also variation in food. I liked food which was cooked instantly just in front of my eyes! Beverage which was included in all inclusive formula was generus unlike some reviews. The outdoor pool was clean and heated, so my child enjoyed the pool in February. I don't know what to expect more for that amount of money I paid... The free shuttle service was so helpful provided it was pre-booked. Most of the staffs were very responsive and respectful taking different culture into account. Spa facility and service were also nice. Especially my wife enjoyed the spa.

Have just returned from 6nights here, hotel itself was looking dated in places, food was hot and plentiful but have to say only average at best, what would you expect in an all inclusive resort, they fail to tell you the other restaurants you need to pay in.Reception staff were fairly inadequate in helping or answering questions. Most staff ok although having a barman who speaks no English was not a lot of help lots of pointing required!!!.Also having to pay to use the gym in a 5star is not what you would expect either.Pools and gardens all nice plenty of sunbeds to choose from.Would say most entertainment is aimed at the French who are in the majority here,so not easy for any other nation to join in.Overall relaxing holiday with great weather but couldn't rate this hotel any higher than 3.5 stars.

Overall, this hotel is average and good value for money considering we paid £1000 for two people for 7 nights including flights and all inclusive accommodation. The idea that it is five star is of course ridiculous.
Staff: ranged from excellent (entertainment - the guys around the pool are fun and there is a lady who is brilliant with children and maids) to hopeless (reception).
Cleanliness: excellent, they are constantly cleaning everywhere
Food: average, but usually something nice (a bit like school dinners) but plentiful and a great selection of fresh vegetables and fruit
Facilities: two good pools and a good free shuttle to the centre
Excursions: good. We took a visit to the Atlas Mountains which made for a nice day out, although there is not a tremendous amount there. Our energetic guide spent the day pointing out everything and anything we drove past en route (this is a bank, this is a plot of land for sale etc). The scenery was stunning, however and we visited a Berber house for mint tea and had a nice lunch. He seemed a bit perplexed as to why we wanted to drive around the mountains but was friendly and accommodating.

Stayed here last June (2013) and whilst it certainly is not a 5 star hotel, we had a pleasant stay. The music is all a bit too much at times but the place in itself was good. Had no problem with the room it was clean enough, and the only real downside is the food. It was repetitive but there was plenty of it. I would recommend this hotel.

Stayed here in March 2014. If you are used to three star hotels this may well suit you. However, my wife and I are used to staying in 5 star hotels (albeit some turn out to be 4 star ) We holiday 4 times a year and therefore have vast experience in hotel quality.
Our main gripe (which we have never experienced before ) was that at dinner you had to queue at the bar for your own wine and drinks ( no wine waiter ).
The hotel was only 25% full and you still did not get the service. The reception staff were miserable. The heated pool was not heated although they had a sign up stating it was 26deg. This was taken down on our last day probably due to the amount of complaints. The large pool was colder than freezing. The hotel shop prices were ridiculous.
We can honestly say that the good reviews on here have to be from travellers that are not used to any more than 3 star hotels.

Only Good Points
Food was hot and varied. Rooms large and clean

Would we return -- Most definitely not

Luckily this was an in between holiday (if you can call it a holiday ) for us and we are going back to our favourite 5 star hotel in Sharm, Egypt in a few weeks " The Stella De Mare" which is the best 5 star we have ever stayed in. The quality of service and food is what you expect and the only hotel on Trip Advisor that we have ever seen with all 5 star+ reviews and NO negatives. Check it out !
