Riad Al Rimal is great, with friendly and helpfull staff, nice and clean rooms and a great location close to the market. Breakfast at the roof-top terrace in early morning sun in january - whow - that feels good! A Security guard follow you through the labyrinth from the market at night.
We will certainly come back!

Just back from a 5 day stay in the lovely Riad al Rimal in the Medina of Marrakech. We had pre-booked a taxi to pick us up at the airport and even though it took ages to get through passport control and we worried that perhaps the driver wouldn't wait, he was still there with a warm welcome and then took us to the riad and we were escorted the last bit on foot through the windy streets to the riad where we got another friendly welcome with mint tea and pastries and were given a map and some helpful hints for our stay (first time in Marrakech). Got immediately lost when setting foot outside but the riad has security guys in hi-vis vests who walk you back at night from the nearest main street. Breakfasts were superb - lovely fresh fruit and amazing orange juice and plain and sesame topped rolls with a selection of fig or strawberry jam, honey and marmelade and each day there was a different other homecooked treat like flatbread, doughnuts or pancakes as well as fromage frais. We loved sitting up on the roof terrace for breakfast soaking up the sun and even in January the temperatures were between 22 and 30 degrees so just lovely to get some sun on our Scottish skin! The staff were all very helpful indeed and friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day and we were very happy with our room which was downstairs and was the Ruby suite which was nice and spacious. Don't expect all mod cons in the rooms such as TV, mini-bar, tea/coffee making equipment - we found we didn't need them anyway. There is a lounge area and TV and bar although we didn't use it. This riad (like most places in the Medina) doesn't serve alcohol but they are happy for you to bring your own in so we had some wine of our own for the evenings. The riad is very well situated for the main square (Jemaa El Fna) and the souks which is about 2 mins walk away. The riad also has its own hammam and treatments that you can book. You need to give at least 5 hour's notice for the hammam to be warm and ready for you. I booked a hammam/gommage which was involved a vigorous rub down with a loofah glove and then slathered over with rose-scented body mask followed by a massage - bliss - and have never felt so soft afterwards!! Good value for money all-in-all and a really relaxing stay. The medina and square is pretty full-on at times and so it was great to have somewhere very close to head back to if you wanted some tranquility and the roof terrace was a lovely place to lounge around and relax.

This is a beautiful little Riad right next to the action in Marrakech. Definitely very good value for money. Clean, staff were exceptionally helpful & nice to us and breakfast delicious. The experience of getting to it through quirky small streets was great, and although it’s very close to the market, once inside, it was very peaceful and relaxing. Having breakfast in the roof terrace was lovely. My only personal down side was that the bed was a bit too hard, other than that, I would absolutely recommend this Riad.

This is a great Riad, very comfortable with very nice staff. They said it was tricky finding it due to the twisty dark alleyways but we managed to find our way back with no problems. Very grateful for the young man with the flashlight who guided us back after dark though. Not a trip a couple of women would really like to make alone. It is also very close to the main square and the souks. Lots of restaurants around the square but the food at the riad was really good. Their rooftop deck is lovely, great place for breakfast and to relax. We had a wonderful stay and would stay again.

A comfortable Riad, located just a few minutes from the main square - reached down a narrow twisting alley from an interesting street, which added to the charm. We arrived late and had an excellent pre-booked dinner. Friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome; later we met the amiable owners who really care for you.
We had a larger room, which was very comfortable. A good breakfast was provided each morning - the donuts were to die for!
It was too cool for breakfast on the rooftop, so we ate in the lovely dining room. As we were out all day, we didn't sunbathe on the roof but it looked just ideal.
All in all, a thoroughly recommendable Riad.

This is a lovely riad very near the main square in the Medina. The rooms were beautifully decorated in the traditional style and the common areas both inside and on the roof terrace were very comfortable and welcoming. The riad also had a very nice plunge pool (welcome after the long bus ride from Fez) in the courtyard and a hot tub on the roof. The breakfasts were delicious and dinner was also available if you wished - serving some of the best food we had while in Morocco. The staff were outstanding, kind and very helpful, especially when my husband became ill.

Lovely authentic riad, lot of cozy common rooms, beautiful roof top deck and big welcoming rooms. Riad met and exceeded every expectation. WIFI included. We received a warm welcome on our arrival. Staff we warm, welcoming, friendly and very helpful.

Taxi driver called the riad to have someone met us at the entry in the medina to walk us to the riad. Riad is at most 2 minute walk through the alleys. Once you have been shown the way it is easy to find and easy to get out the souk or main street which is no more then 2 minutes away. Alleys get dark at night but we, two girls, had no problems at all. If concerned just call the riad and they will send someone to fetch you.

We had a lovely clean well appointed room with twin beds that overlooked the courtyard. My favourite thing about this riad was the roof top deck with hot tub and loungers. We doddled over our breakfast each morning enjoying the ambience and tranquility. Breakfast was amble and good.

We also reserved and used the steam room which was a lovely relaxing feature that we appreciated; just have to plan in advance as it takes some time warm it up.

With this riad as our base we got out and walked the souk and square, walked down to the Jewish souk and palaces. Very centrally located. Good value for money and I won't hesitate this accommodation.

Best tagine ever was had in a little outside café in the square, melt off the bone lamb tagine, bread and olives for under $5 CAD. I still dream about that tagine. Café was on the far right side of the square at the end of a row of cafés across from the month of the street that leads down to the Jewish quarter.

However on a second a trip to Marrakech I'd like to stay closer to the Jewish quarter which I think is more central for walking to the square, souks, places, etc.and would like to stay at the Riad Dar One Marrakech in the Jewish quarter.
