I travelled to Marrakech by myself and stayed at this great little Riad. It is just a couple blocks from Jema El Fna square and in the Medina.
Do not expect to find this hotel without a little help. Your taxi can only drop you off close to it and it is very unlikely you will find the hotel without someone showing you unless you have been to it before... Once you are settled, however, getting to and from the hotel is easy and convenient.
The room was average and staff were accommodating. I had a great time at during my stay.
The internet quality was great. This really helped and surprised me.

Only 10 mins walk from Place El Fna (the main sq) - we were in the thick of it.
Value for money - it was visually stunning and Anass and his staff, esp Ali and Mohammed were all very accommodating. We are a couple and we stayed in Essaouira room, which is the one with the blue bed in the pictures, which was beautiful. All very authentic Moroccan interior and the pool and the bridge, are certainly good photo opportunities if you Facebook or Instagram.
We ate once at the riad, which was a three course sizzling dish of chicken and olives, and dessert - very good value for money.
Overall, we would stay here again

We stayed for 4 days in this beautiful Riad. The place is really nice, rooms wonderfully decorated, it is calm and yet close to walk to the main places in Marrakesch. Breakfast was very good with fresh juices and great yoghourt, and the staff was very friendly. The place is very quiet, no niose from outsinde, only if guests talk loud (late) in the lower part of the hotel, this can be heard upstairs. We would again go there and can recommend the place, it's good value for the money.

This Riad is only 10 mins walk from the main square which is very convenient, and only maybe 20 mins walk from the new city (where a lot of the fancier bars/restaurants are).

We had a slightly unfriendly greeting (he wasn't very helpful at all and seemed very hostile- also beware the city tax 3.50 euros per person per night) but everyone else including the owner was lovely, especially the breakfast staff (v yummy brekkie- yoghurt, pancakes, bread, various spreads and OJ).

We had the triple room which was very comfortable, and had a nice hot shower. Towels etc changed every day.

we got the hotel shuttle from the airport there (email to organise, it is 7 euros per person) and got the no. L19 bus back to the airport (30DH- less than £1)

I would recommend.

The Riad was easy to find, trusted google maps. The Riad is beautiful itself, rooms are nice and spacious. Free WiFi but speed is not good for heavy use. Staff are friendly. Riad was the only place out of about 15 others where mint tea was really really nice.
The view is amazing from the Riad of mountains around, snow at peaks.
Had breakfast only once but was amazing and felt we missed out on it, was all homemade. The flavoured yogurt was amazing but rest was also very nice.
Moroccon decoration everywhere in Riad, was pleasing to look at.
Jemaa El Fna is less than 10mins walk from the Riad. Airport Bus No 19 dropped quite close to the Riad.
We were offered to leave luggage in Riad after checkout until flight time, so we did :)
Staff are not fluent in English but we managed without any issue.

I've just returned from a 4 night stay at this Riad with two of my friends. It is located within walking distance of the main square but was a quiet location. Fantastic roof terrace with a view of the Atlas mountains in the distance and a great spot to watch the sun set. The breakfast each day was lovely, with homemade yoghurt and the breakfast varied from day to day. The staff were extremely firendly and helped us organise a trip out to the Ourika Valley.

We got a taxi from the airport which dropped us off outside the Palace and then the taxi driver arranged for a local to show us to our Riad, as it is set back off the main road, down alleys that are too narrow for a car. I think this is pretty typical when staying in any Riad, so don't be surprised when this happens and try to have some small change to tip the guy who shows you the Riad.

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Marrakech and would highly recommend Riad Sidi Mimoune.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor, so easy access to the roof terrace.

Spent 4 days in Marrakech over Christmas staying at this Riad.

Positives:
Peaceful and Quiet - which was perfect for our stay.
Clean rooms - which the staff ensured stayed clean.
Friendly Staff - Apart from the language barrier, the staff were quite friendly, and if you spoke Arabic or French you would get extra attention.
Breakfast was decent, yet nothing special.
Location - Right in the heart of the old town, where we were able to experience proper Moroccan culture, and not too far from the Square so we were able to walk to and from the main square without using taxis.

Negatives:

Transfer to Hotel - We had arranged a transfer from the Airport with the hotel, which was basically a guy in a Car who dropped us off on the Main Road adjacent to the Royal Palace. We were told someone from the hotel would meet us at the drop-off point, only to find the driver leaving us with some local residents, who were instructed to escort us to our hotel. Which we were fine with, apart from the fact we were escorted to the incorrect hotel and had to ask for directions to our correct hotel.

Issues with the Hot Water - On our first morning, the Hot water was not working in our bathroom, after complaining to the hotel manager - Mohamed (who acted as if this wasn't a big deal) he refused to move us to another room which was located on the other side of the Riad, the side where the Hot Water was working, instead he asked us to temporarily move to another room, which hadn't been cleaned yet, to use the shower and go back to our room. We managed this, and understood that sometimes these things happen, but the attitude of Mohamed the manager was the real sticking point, no apologies or sympathy was offered to us. I know for a fact there was unoccupied rooms in the 'Good' part of the Riad, but for some reason he point-blank refused to move us.

Transfer to Airport - The Transfer back to the Airport which was supposed to have been arranged by the hotel, didn't happen. The bus arrived an hour before we were told it was going to arrive, so we missed our transfer to the airport.

Morocco is an amazing place to visit, Although this Riad had some positives, I certainly wont be going back for a second stay if i decide to visit Morocco again - there is better value for money out there.
