A fantastic place with staff that seem to know what you want before you know it yourself in a Location away from the Medina but next to a shopping centre / supermarket.
From the moment we arrived (early morning) we received great service and great experiences here. The Rooms, Location, Internet access (wifi access and wired access within the rooms), Swimming Pool, Breakfast, Dining Room and Lounge are all fantastic but the best part of the hotel is the Staff. Stayed in hotels that cost more per night than this hotel costs for a week but the difference is the Hotel staff not only know your name but know what you want and 'genuinely' want to help you to make your stay great. On one occasion (due to a holiday) the bank was closed so one of the staff 'lent' us some of her own money until we could get some changed up! On another occasion Sophie gave us some great recommendations about a restaurant and waited up for us to see how it was, she also organised a camel ride on our last day as we loved the camels.
Spent quite a lot of time thinking how to improve this place and even though its not far off perfect I would ensure that all rooms have wifi internet (we saw one person trying to get a wifi signal outside her room on her phone) The room we had was fantastic (upgraded from standard room) and was next to the pool so we always had WIFI access. We used the Hamman on the first day and this was as good as ones costing twice as much in the Medina, the guys get bent / manipulated afterwards and it feels great (highly recommended)
The hotel has only 20-25 rooms which ensures the pool / breakfast area is almost empty at all times (we had the pool to ourselves or shared with only 3 others almost every time we went) The size and limit to guest numbers allows the staff (including the manager Myra and Sophie) to get to know you and to make your stay special. Bigger more 'exclusive' hotels simply cant offer this service and thats why this is a fantastic / bargain hotel.
The restaurant is amazing and have reviewed this individually but needless to say it compliments the hotel perfectly and after 3 visits within a week we were still finding 'gems' on the menu.
We went to a spa in the Medina and they had a rooftop terrace which we both loved and thought could be even more special at this hotel, if money was no object this is probably the only improvement you could make to this hotel as its as near to perfect as you will get for its price range.
I hope that if you visit this hotel on the back of these recommendations you will have as good a time as we did. If you run a multi-million dollar hotel in Las Vegas, London, Dubai or New York you should come here to find out how customer service should be applied
