I took my Wife to Al fassia for a joint Anniversary and birthday. We Booked B and b basis. The hotel is 10 mins from the airport and cost approx £15 .
On arrival we were met by the manageress and her staff. She talked us through things to do and whereabouts of things. All of the staff were excellent polite and professional.
The room was spotless and as a bonus she upgraded us to a suite that was spacious and cool. The hotel grounds were beautiful , outside you wouldn't expect the cool relaxed atmosphere behind the walls. The pool was cool but refreshing. Breakfast served round the pool was very nice fruit yoghurt and pancakes with toast all served washed down with coffee.
All in all an ideal little hotel with a fantastic restaurant attached to the hotel. the main medina and souks were a 5 mins taxi ride which cost approx £3 going an £5 back as they try it on abit.
We shall try and pop back again soon, keep up the good work.

Couldn't have wished for a better place to stay on our first trip to Morocco! All the staff were friendly, helpful and happy.

The riad is relatively small so if you're expecting an all inclusive resort this won't be for you, but we loved it. The restaurant on site is brilliant for dinner and the tagines were delicious, we are there around 3 times out of 7 days.

Although the pool isn't heated, when it is hot outside it really doesn't matter and certainly provides a great way to cool off if you're lounging around.

We were able to walk to the square in around 35-40 minutes and is actually quite nice walking through the gardens. You can get a taxi and it certainly is cheap and quick to get to the centre, however take care with the taxis as unless you specify the amount you want to pay before going, they will charge you anything they want (talk to the staff about prices).

Overall a great stay and would recommend it to anyone going to Marrakech.

Stunning Tagine and pigeon pastilla. Romantic garden setting and top notch staff and service. We found out about this place via Conde Nast Traveller magazine and so glad we took the tip off and came. About 15 mins from the old town/main square but worth the trip. Not the cheapest and wine is rather pricey. A nice treat though. Highly recommend for any food lover.

A beautiful restaurant which offers tables inside and out. We dined for dinner and started with the Moroccan mixed salad. The table was full of small plates with lots to try. Then we had lamb couscous and the chicken and pumpkin tagine. The chicken in the tagine was very dry. A bit of a disappointment as the rest of the dish was devine. Great service.

Dear Fiona,

Thank you for your visit to AL FASSIA Aguedal Restaurant.
As a family business, we, owners, try to do our best to maintain the quality not only of the service but also of the food.
Sorry to hear that the Chicken you had was dry! We wish you told the waitress serving you, we would have been happy to change it for you. Thank you for your constructive feedback that will certainly help us.
We are glad you enjoyed the rest and hope to welcome you next time as our loyal guest.
Mariam.

We are a young couple who wanted to have the best of both worlds in our short stay in Marrakech; to explore the souks and have the opportunity to rest, relax and recuperate whilst we were at the hotel. From outside the hotel does not look like much but when you step through the gates you are instantly relaxed as you walk through to the open air lobby-garden to the sounds of the water fountain, birds tweeting and relaxing morrocan music in the background. The hotel is small, very personal, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with excellent attention to detail. The pool was the perfect retreat and we had a freshly cooked breakfast (very tasty, must try the mint tea) around it every morning. Hotel also has a restaurant which we ate some of the best food of our trip at (ask for their recommendations). The staff are very friendly and make every effort to meet your requests, the hotel manager Myra will make you feel at home and provide you with excellent honest advice. Be aware that the hotel is a short taxi journey from the centre (costs around £2 on way out, a little more on the way back depending on your bartering skills). I highly recommend this hotel and will absolutely be returning here at the earliest opportunity.
