“Beautiful Riad and Friendly staff!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 September 2011

I stayed at Riad Da Vinci with my husband and 3 friends and we really enjoyed it! The rooms were clean and were individually unique. The atmosphere was relaxing, especially after the hustle bustle of the Marrakesh streets.

The staff was very friendly and attentive. Ashraf was especially helpful. He made us reservations to a lovely restaurant, walked with us through the souks, held our bags for a night that we spent doing a desert tour ( and did not charge us for that night), and even took us out for a night in the city! He was a great host!

The Riad is a bit far from the center 15 min walk ( if you don't get lost through the narrow streets) but we got used to the walk and it really didn't bother us.

Room Tip: Rooms on the second floor are quieter.

I love the decoration...it goes at littlest detail. Arriving from the crazy and narrow streets of Marrakech feels very good :) It's a little too far from the center, but the kind and always helpful staff makes you forget that!

I stayed with a couple of friends for a total of 3 days and it was nice!
The location might not be the best, but once you get inside, the athmosphere is great and the rooms are very cosy.
The staff is really the best, allways helpfull!

Great Riad in Marrakech! Quiet place in the middle of all the commotion outside. Rooms are clean, staff is great, especially Ashraf who speaks very good english. He helped us with everything, organized a camel and berber house tour, showed us around the neighborhood, made restaurant reservations and even went to the bus station to buy us tickets for out trip to Essaouira. All in all, a great host!

Riad de Vinci it´s a amazing place that we really recommend to people who wants to know the Medina by foot. It´s about 10-15 min walking from Gemma el Fna and 5 min from souks. The riad is beautiful, has 5 wonderful rooms and is very clean!!
The manager of the riad, Ashrif, was very helpful and he speaks a very good english. He showed us the best way to visit the Medina and don´t get lost and recommended us good restaurants and nice places to visit.

Riad de Vinci was a fabulous, relaxing hideaway in the Medina. 5 large rooms set around a stunning courtyard with a candlelit rooftop terrace. The rooms are modern, very clean and comfortable. (We stayed in two rooms - get the Leonardo suite if you can!) The breakfast is perfect: home bakes breads, Moroccan pancakes, jams, cheese, freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh coffee, Moroccan tea. Its biggest asset is its staff; we couldn’t believe how helpful and friendly they were! Some of the reviews say they only speak French / Arabic, but they do now have two members of staff who speak English also. Ashraf was wonderful, it was a pleasure to meet him!

The location is perfect because it is halfway between the Djeema El Fna square and the new town as well as being very near to some of the souks. It’s about 10 - 15 minute walk to the square but this is ideal because you really want to get away from the main square after a few hours there! The Riad is located in a traditional part of the medina, so you feel you’re amongst real Moroccans going about their daily life. If it’s your first time in Morocco, it will surprise you how tucked away the Riad is, but this is normal. It’s wonderful how peaceful it is inside the Riad compared to the mayhem of Marrakech! I agree that it is difficult to find and actually, I wouldn’t advise anyone to try to find it themselves if they’re new to Morocco! We are really good at map reading but we definitely would have struggled. Luckily, the staff are happy to come and meet you and guide you to the Riad. They came to meet us after midnight (even though we were 2 hours late) and they showed us to a safe place to park the car, then guided us to the guest house.

We were sad to leave and I hope to go back and stay there again. Highly recommended!

Riad De Vinci is amazing. It exceeded our expectations in terms of its beauty and style. The place is superbly decorated with modern, luxurious furnishings and fit-outs and is astoundingly clean. We stayed there for a few nights and revelled in the open air courtyard, where we enjoyed sumptuous starlight dinners at the dining table and lounged on the sun beds on the roof-top terrace gazing at the stars.
This is a truly blissful place and you will end up falling in love with Riad De Vinci longing to come back, as I do now!
The staff are incredibly helpful and went out of their way to help with providing internet access, laptop usage, electrical adaptors, tour packages and anything else you could possibly need during your stay.
I would recommend however that you acquaint yourself with its location and bring a map- given the maze of the old town.
