“Excellent Rhiad in the heart of the Medina”

From the moment you step through the door its like an Oasis. Boujemaa and the rest of the staff attend to your every needs, nothing is too much trouble.
It is situated down and alley just by the Souxs, within in moments of being there you feel safe and part of Marrakech,
A must is to eat at the Rhiad at least once.. You will discuss in the morning your requirements as to meat etc. and it will all be purchased fresh from the markets that day and cooked to perfection. Even our fussy eater was treated to a fabulous meal cooked to his specifications.
If you are looking to take a tour, speak to the staff they will arrange a guide (cheaper than all the other quotes we had) who will pick you up (on foot) from the Rhiad

Room Tip: We had a suite which was excellent and the other rooms all looked equally as good

We were fortunate to stay at this charming small riad for 3 nights. Hospitality was top draw.
We spent 10 days touring Morocco and this riad turned out to be our favourite. We had 2 evening meals here and food was superb. I would be happy to recommend this riad . It is not large or opulent but service and food 5 stars, and excellent location

We stayed at Riad Diana for one night. It was a lovely Riad tucked away from Jema el Fnaa. The staff was courteous and helpful. We wanted to purchase some boxes of tea right before we left for the airport and the staff offered to get it for us. It was a lovely gesture. The breakfast was nice and the Riad was clean and inviting. It's a nice choice for anyone visiting Marrakech and wanting to stay near the Jema el Fnaa.

My husband and I have just spent a wonderful few days at the Riad Diana. It is truly a little gem of riad tucked down a very quiet alley, 5 mins walk from the main square Jema el Fnaa, therefore in very easy reach of taxis, restaurants and the souks. We were given a very warm welcome by all the Riad staff and had a very relaxing stay. The rooms and common areas are kept very clean and tidy and the decor is thoughtful with many traditional pieces of furniture having been sourced.

We would absolutely recommend a home cooked dinner, the Chicken tagine made by the lady cook was delicious and not to be bettered at any of the restaurants we subsequently visited. We also enjoyed the all over body massage in the Riad's little spa.

Our room was on the ground floor, opening out onto the courtyard garden and opposite the little kitchen so I would say that this room might not be the most peaceful during a very busy time, however it was clean, comfortable and very charming. If you can speak some French it really helps, the Hotel owner speaks very good English but some of the staff not soo much, but French is the second language for most Morrocans rather than English.

All in all, we feel sure that anyone who stays at the Riad Diana will have a super time!

Room Tip: As mentioned before, the ground floor 'patio' room might be a little noisy during busy perio...

My partner and I stayed at Riad Dianna for three nights, picking it after much research on trip advisor. We pre-ordered the airport pick up whereby the driver was waiting on our arrival. He kept us amused with Morocco history and tips on the way to the Riad.
On arrival at the Riad the man with the cart took us and our luggage along the alleys to the Riad where we were welcomed with Mint Tea. I have to say I wasn't a fan of the tea and far too sweet! Our room wasn't ready as we arrived early so we left our bags with staff and went exploring.
On returning, I was delighted to see we'd been upgraded to the Suite which had a separate lounge area and huge windows and doors looking over the central courtyard. The shower was good and hot water plentiful but the bed very hard (although I suspect that’s the same all over Morocco)
The Riad itself was very peaceful except for a neighbouring property playing loud music one afternoon as we relaxed on the terrace...this couldn't be helped though!
There was WIFI freely available which worked throughout the Riad. I was a little concerned over leaving the room key with reception when we left the Riad but after the first day these worries left me as the building is very secure.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient and filled us up. It consisted of pancakes (heated up in the microwave), muffins, bread and jam with fruit or yoghurt, orange juice and tea/coffee.
We also paid for a fresh meal to be prepared. This was pre-ordered for our first evening and if I’m honest I was a little disappointed. We weren’t asked if we had any preference over meat or ingredient s and when the dinner arrived; the chicken tagine was overcooked and chewy albeit the sauce was good. I was also hoping for a traditional dessert but were given a bowl of mixed fruit. I suspect the meal was prepared much earlier in the day and left sitting until our booked time of seven pm.
Overall, a decent Riad which was clean and well cared for. It’s situated in a good location, close to the square and all the sites but far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. Would I recommend…yes.

The guesthouse is a 5 min walk from main square. All the hustle and bustle is left behind when you enter this peaceful riad.the hospitality is second to none..always felt welcome and willing to help in anyway.very nice rooftop terrace for reading a book or just chilling out.highly recommended. Thank you to the manager and a special big thank you to the lady who always seem to be there come night or day.

We have just returned from a four night stay at the Riad and can only highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Medina. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
It is within easy reach of Jamaa el Fna and other sites.
We had arranged a pick up from the airport and the taxi dropped us off to have our cases transfered to the Riad by cart. We were welcomed in with a pot of mint tea before being shown our room which was situated on the ground floor. The room was a good size and well maintained. I would say however that I am not sure if we would have wanted this room in the high season due to its proximity to the plunge pool and haman. It also opens out onto the breakfast room which caused much laughter among other guests as we made our "grand entrance" each morning.
Breakfast offered a good selection of pastries and bread and freshly squeezed orange juice.
I also had a cookery class which was fantastic and vey enjoyable learning about the use of spices and the combinations . We visited the market to buy the ingredients but be aware that if you opt for chicken it is alive and then despatched. The amount you make under the excellent guidance of the cusinere is more than enough for two .
I also had a haman and massage which was excellent. On our day of departure we were offered a room to change in and tea whilewe were waiting for our cart and taxi.
There are excellent eateries close by apart from the Riad itself, Dar es Salem and Jnane Mogador both in the alley on the way to the suare and Le Tanjiaa just across the road from La Place des Artisans (near the taxi rank).
A good way to see old and new is by using the hop on hop off bus which you can pick up by Club Med at the bottom of the square.
Thank you to all at the Riad for a wonderful stay.
