Dar Habiba is an excellent place to stay after the hectic medina and souks. Quiet and tranquil and with the great care of the staff and any question answered by the ever smiling and friendly Najat. Ideal and value for money place in the old town away from traffic and yet close to all the attractions of the medina.

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Habiba. on the way there you never know what is going to happen..For a while I was not sure I had made the right decision - staying right in the hustle and bustle of the Medina - but yes, it’s definitely the spot if you want to experience the real Marrakesh!! and to top it all up, this Riad was lovely, and Najat was just the best!!!..she even surprised my husband with a birthday cake... wow..what service!!!

Wow, what else can i say that hasn't been said before....We absolutely loved this place.
The location was perfect, near to all the sights and sounds, yet so quiet, peaceful and relaxing once inside.
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome by Najat and the rest of the team and it was good to meet Alastair just as we were leaving.
We ate there only once, and can honestly say this was the best meal of our trip, the lamb tagine with prunes and almonds was really tasty and the meat so tender.....highly recommended!
Najat organised a day trip for another couple to the Cascades D' Ouzoud, they asked us if we were interested, we were, so decided to go too, this was very good value because we could split the cost between us all. This was a brilliant day out with about 4 hours walking including lots of photo opportunities.
We surprised ourselves by enjoying Marrakesh so more than we could imagine, there was minimal hassle and the people are so friendly.
Alastair and Najat, thank you for an amazing trip! We will see you again :-) Gill & John

We booked two rooms in Dar Habiba due to the excellent reviews in TripAdvisor, and were very happy about it. But 2 days before our arrival, they got a mayor leak in one of the rooms, and because of that it was impossible for them to receive us. They were very sorry and found us another place where to stay. And the most important thing I want to comment, was the way they took care of us.
Nejet, the manager, was always helpful (she picked us from the airport although the flight had problems and we arrived at midnight!!) and the 4 days we stayed in Marrakesh, she was there for us.
The other riad where we finally stayed was very beautiful, but the hospitality of Dar Habiba was superior

And last but not least, we took there a Hammam bath: Amazing!

The service at Dar Habiba is what sets it apart. Najat was a fantastic host. I had so many questions and sent so many emails, yet she never made me feel like a bother. My friend and I were short on time in Marrakech so I wanted to make sure that we had everything in order before we arrived. To help us make the most of our time, Najat even purchased the train tickets for my friend and I so we could have as much time as possible during our last day in Marrakech. She also has a great since of humor and was so pleasant to be around. The hotel itself is beautiful. We had several little mishaps during our stay, but they were all handled by the staff quickly and professionally - the wonderful service negated any issues we had. Thank you to Najat for a wonderful stay!

We just returned from a 5 day stay at Dar Habiba and have only positive things to report. Prior to arriving Alastair had responded promptly to any enquiries I had and had been extremely helpful in managing the booking. Once in Marrakech we were greeted by a friendly driver who took us to the Riad where we were then welcomed Najat. All this occurred in a very seamless manner which makes a change from the stress and hassle you sometimes get when visiting a new place for the first time.
We dined at the Riad on our first night and the food was lovely. We found throughout our stay that the service was always friendly, breakfast was always tasty and Najat made herself available to help out with any queries we had, from booking us on excursions, to giving us directions, advising how much we should pay for taxi fares to recommending restaurants and places of interest. All this local knowledge was offered in a genuinely friendly and helpful manner. You had the impression throughout your stay that the staff really cared whether you were enjoying yourself which was also a welcome change form some places we have stayed in.
In terms of facilities, the room was lovely, very cute. I liked the pictures on the wall of our room so much I bought a few myself for my living room from one of the souks. The room also had air conditioning and the shower was nice and powerful. The terrace was very relaxing to sit out on as was outside downstairs by the little plunge pool. The Riad felt extremely safe and was very well located, only a few minutes walk from the Jmaa El Fnaa.
All in all I would thoroughly recommend this Riad, from months prior to our trip, even to after our trip the service has been first class. I hope to return next year.

Don't stay at any other riad - visit Dar Habiba. Perfect for your first adventure and I can't imagine any other matching upto its beauty, peace, gentleness, comfort. You lose none of the flavour of this extraordindary culture and yet you are enveloped gently and helpfully to enjoy it at its best. I can imagine visiting safely alone, or with my children such was the attention to care for us. But I chose a wonderful option - a romantic gentle and escaping few days. This is the place for that.

Every review you read - it is true and more. Extraordinary levels of service and care in UK and whilst there. This feels like your home with the kindness of hosts to guide and care, and yet the sense of independence and freedom to do as you please.

Sit on the roof at night and watch the stars and hear the sounds of the distant hubub of the nearby activity. Watch the sun rise and set with the changing colours through the rooftops and allleyways that circumnavigate this crazy place.

You are perfectly placed to step out into walkways and squares and engage with life in all its vibrancy.

We will be back to take tea, dip our toes in your plunge pool, steam in your hammam, watch the world from the roof tops and stop and reflect on this magnificant and extraordinary city. Thank you for an extraordinary experience.
