“Most restful place ever on a city break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 April 2014

My wife and I had a four night stay here last week. From the moment we got through airport customs we were catered for admirably by Nicola and his staff. The airport transfer was impeccable and when we were dropped off in the outer region of the City Nicola was there to great us and lead us through the maze of alleys to the Riad. I think we would still be looking now otherwise! Led through into the Riad itself well what a pleasant surprise indeed. This place is an oasis of calm and the attention of the staff make you feel like you are the only ones there at times. We ate that night on the roof and the lamb and prune tajine was great. So much so, I am afraid to say we ate here every night which is something we have never done before. It was worth it and each night we had a lovely three course meal with wine. It may have cost more than eating out but the food, the service and having the rooftop to ourselves made it special. It rained here for 2 of our 4 days and we did a lot of loafing about reading but it really recharged our batteries. For r and r you would struggle to beat it.it reminded me of a mix between the quietness of an old fashioned library and Raffles hotel in Singapore(not that we have ever stayed there). I could go on and on but shall conclude by saying that the owners of this Riad have certainly got the right people in place to make your stay a highly pleasant one indeed. The main square is a 10 min walk away through the souks and Nicola your host knows when to be there for you and when to leave you alone....a skill that is so often lacking in management. Well worthy of its high rating.

Room Tip: Our room on the first floor overlooked the main square and had it's own huge outside area to rea...

Hidden down mediaeval alleys the door opens into an arabian nights fantasy. The decor is amazing and eclectic and we had a large room with a double shower and a private garden with banana plants. The welcome and attentiveness was of the highest level and the staff were always there with a real smile. Breakfast on the roof, with views of the high Atlas mountains, was varied and the chef, Fatima, produced brilliant meals in the evening or at lunchtime. Nicolas our host was extremely helpful, guiding us too and from pick up points, and was full of information about where to go and where to visit. A wonderful first experience of Morocco.

Arriving late we were welcomed at the airport by the taxi driver and taken to the riad where Nicolas met us at the drop off point. Nicolas is the perfect host in every way with suggestions, directions and help! The riad is beautiful, spotless, quiet, and comfortable. The staff are all very professional. The food is delicious, so thank you.

we stayed at the Riad Camilla for my birthday , after seeing the website I didn't think this place could be anymore beautiful, that is until we got there! it is stunning and peaceful and Nicolas and the staff are all wonderful and so friendly , nothing is to much trouble . Our room was massive and always spotless ! Nicolas helped us with some excursions which were both a lot of fun ( we did dune quad biking and a trip to the coast and also had my birthday meal in the desert watching the sunset)
we also ate at there a couple of times and the food was delicious . my boyfriend and I have both said we will be going back and was very sad to leave . thank you for such a fantastic stay and a brilliant birthday.

Room Tip: we slept in room 5 which had a private stair case to the roof and was very quiet but all rooms look...

When you arrive to Riad Camilia you litterally walk into a hole in the wall, but after a long narrow and dart street you are in front of a black door. And inside is another world. A beautiful little hotel withb only six rooms. We stayed for 4 days with our 3 kids and had a wonderful time. The place is truly marvellous. A bit sad we could not use the roof terrace more, due to low morning and evening tempeatures - but you can't blame anyone for that. Nicolas was very helpful and the rest of the staff was very serviceminded and always smiling. Only downer was a problem with a toilet in one of our rooms.
