4 great days enjoying winter sunshine, the sights of Marrakech and the sanctuary of Riad Menzeh. Bernard is a true gentleman who enhanced our recent stay with his attention to detail and generosity of spirit. Great breakfasts and a peaceful haven from the bustle of the medina. Highly recommended,

I will keep it short.
Our stay in the riad was excellent. We felt very welcome safe and secure in the riad.
You can not compare this with an hotel it is more.....like staying at home with a good friend.
If there will ever be an oscar award for Host of the Year.
La La La.....and the winner is Bernard and his crew.

Bernard and his attentive team made my stay at Riad Menzeh unforgettable. Bernard was an impeccable host as he and his team answered all queries and requests, however big or small.

The riad itself (about a 10 minute walk from the main place) is exquisite and the attention to detail breathtaking. It has a terrasse and its own hammam for the guests. It is also possible to eat lunch and dinner at the site. And to book additional activities through the team.

I've returned home completely relaxed thanks to these special people.

Merci beaucoup Bernard et al, et å la prochaine!

The service and hospitality by Bernard and his staff is top-notch. They really go the extra mile for you, doing little things to make your stay pleasant.

The accommodations are very nice: clean, spacious, common room w TV and computer and internet. Breakfast was nice. The Riad is located 10-15 min walk from Djammma El Fna.

Overall highly recommended for value and service.

We booked to stay in March 09 but postponed until September, and it was worth the wait! We only had a brief evening with Bernard but he was extremely welcoming and friendly. His more than capable assistant Jamel helped us out for the rest of the stay. We treated ourselves to their in-house hammam, which was excellent and had a feast from their own cook. The rooms, although cozy, had everything you needed and the tranquility of the riad from the hubub of Marrakesh during Ramadan was worth its weight in gold! Would certainly recommend it, thanks!

If you are going to go to Marrakech, you HAVE to stay in the Medina. It is very hectic, like a scene right out of The Raiders of the Lost Ark, but that's its charm. You really feel like you are in a completely different world.
And, if you are going to stay in the Medina, you HAVE to stay at the Riad Menzeh. I stayed there last month and I just can't say enough about it.
The staff were just genuinely nice people and the owner, Bernard, really made the trip. He was open, friendly and accomodating. We really just felt like we were guests in his house. Even when we would arrive "home" in the afternoon after sightseeing, he would offer us refreshments--on the house. No little extra charges!
And this is not just a cliche--- this Riad really was like a little sanctuary in the heart of the Medina. Peaceful and relaxing. I've travelled a lot and I admit that I am pretty particular but I can honestly say that I have never felt as relaxed as I did there.
Great City... Great Riad... Great Staff... Great Food... Fantastic Host! What more could you ask for?

From the moment we arrived at Riad Menzeh, the French owner Bernard and his team did a fantastic job of making us feel at home. Bernard was so welcoming and friendly, readily offering advice on restaurants, day trips, how best to get around the medina, how to get the most out of our trip to Marrakech etc.

He arranged airport transfers, a trip to a Berber village in the foothills of the Atlas mountains, and arranged for someone to walk with us to the main square the first time we went, which all helped our trip to go smoothly. He also speaks excellent English, though if you want to practice your French he'll be patient and speak clearly and slowly.

While feeling incredibly well looked after, at the same time we never felt that our independence was compromised, and once we'd found our feet we soon set about exploring for ourselves!

Bernard and his staff did everything possible to make our stay really enjoyable. Food and refreshments were copious and delicious - from breakfast of freshly squeezed orange juice, Moroccan pancakes, cake and fresh fruit in the morning served in the courtyard (always slightly different, but always delicious), to regular offers of mint tea and watermelon when we rolled in from the medina, tired, hot and dusty. You can also arrange to dine at the Riad, though we ate out every night because we wanted to explore.

The riad itself is beautiful and stylish, with its grey walls (traditional Moroccan technique), white and purple colour scheme, and the central courtyard where you could relax after a hot day sightseeing (and it did get hot in July!). We stayed in the suite which was just lovely - tastefully decorated, nice and cool, with a comfortable bed and sunken bath tub. There's also a small hammam on the roof - and massage is available - though we didn't try this out.

We particularly loved the cat and her 4 kittens who are currently residing next to the roof terrace in a small box room - if you go to Riad Menzeh soon please visit the local butcher and ask him for "un petit morceau de viande pour un chat" (he'll give you a nice piece of meat all sliced up for about 10 dirham)... the cat and her kittens will thank you for it!

Riad Menzeh is wonderful, Bernard is a great host and his team are friendly yet professional - providing everything you might possibly want for an excellent trip to the Red City. I'd definitely recommend staying at the Riad Menzeh - go now!
