This restaurant was overpriced, food was poor, the staff were rude, unhelpful, inattentive to say the least! The entertainment was average, however I saw better at the local Medina streets than this restaurant. It took 30 mins for them to dish up a plate of fruit (whole fruit that is). They ignored customers and only attended to those who were entering the restaurant to ensure that they did not escape! Poor Poor Poor restaurant! Eaten much better food in McDonalds than this place! The only one positive about this place was that the interior was true to Moroccan art.

This is a "tourist venue" but do not be put off! The visit is still worth while! Friendly local musicians welcomes you to a fabulously decorated dining area in the Palace with the tables comfortably spaced. The service is good and the food compared well to what we have had. The salad was fresh and typical. I had the Tagine Poulet au Citron (my personal favorite) which was very tasty and tender. Then came the tourist bit: the live back ground local Berber music was not intrusive and when the dancers arrived the mood changed and there was much interaction with the audience. Good entertainment and good food at a price. Book in advance for a nice table.

We were conned into this place by the local tour guide who put the fear of god up my wife re going out at night and recommended this place via his services as the only safe option (Be waned this place is on the list of Complete Tours offerings). It was horrendously expensive for what is was (a mediocre meal served by disgruntled staff in a large admittedly well decorated building). To us this summed up our time in Marrakech - hot, expensive and ultimately disappointing. Please do not be conned like us, the walk into town is manageable if not particularly enlightening. You can find better food for less money elsewhere and the entertainments (musicians and a rather oldish lady balancing candles on her head) seemed tired and rather bored - no more so than us however..... We ate out in Essaouria in delightful places for 1/3 of the cost of this place.

Our driver took us here (we didn't choose!). The food was bland, the prices were astronomical and the customer service was poor. The guides sit and eat in a separate part of the restaurant, so they clearly eat for free at the expense of the unsuspecting tourist.
The only sensible decision we made was to ask for the "a la carte" menu which reduced the cost.
Please avoid!

A private tour guide inside Bahia Place that we asked for a restaurant recommendation suggested we dine here.
My husband was impressed with the carved wooden artwork and the general decor. But, the first sign of disaster was that not a single Moroccan walked in. Instead, bus loads of tourists arrived at regular intervals and were ushered to the large tables in this huge hall of a restaurant. By the end of the meal, we were surrounded.
A disinterested musician strummed barely audible tunes.
There is no a la carte, only set menus for an overpriced 300dirhams. The starters were tasteless and uninspired. The meat in the tagines and couscous was tough. The prune tagina was obviously thrown together in a flash as the fruit and nuts were still completely undercooked.
Desert was a few pastries and fruit with mint tea. For our table of six, we were served a tiny plate.
This place is mass tourism at it's worst. Very much regret listening to random advice and not our instincts to go to the place next to Bahia Palace.
