What a delight !
I don't normally write reviews, but in this case ,I feel I must tell you all about Dar Rocmarra.
Firstly,it's in a very good area of the medina and close to the taxi drop off ,so no long dark lanes to walk down, which is great ,if your in heels ! Once you arrive ,the adorable Jamila welcomes you with a huge smile,as if your an old family friend. She speaks perfect English ,as does most of the staff, who were all so charming .The riad is beautiful - simply stunning, the owners have obviously gone to a lot of trouble thinking about style. The courtyard is where we had our breakfast most mornings, while we chatted away, about the night before and listened to the water fall from the dipping pool and licked our lips over Jamila's lovely home made pancakes and pastries, some mornings we had breakfast on the roof terrace, before wondering if we wanted to go out or just stay in again and be spoilt over lunch.
The rooms are amazing,we were in "Johara" which had the most sumptuous bed, with the loveliest linen sheets, the room was very spacious and the bathroom had a bath, big enough for two ! with great big thick fluffy towels and robes. Everything was so clean. The staff were on hand all the time without being intrusive .Great food, lovely wines,a fantastic place that I will definitely go back to again.More
