At just a short walk through the Souks, the riad is ideally located for access to the main square and more local restaurants. Only the wish to sample as much variety as possible stopped us eating " at home" every evening. Pre- booking an evening meal in the riad because of our late arrival time would have been a good idea. The staff were great and couldn't do enough to make us feel at home.

When you are first led down the tiny winding lanes of the ancient Marrakech Medina you worry a bit about the riad that may await you. It looked great in the website but was that just great photography ?.
We were simply enchanted with dar Rocmarra. The building is so beautiful when you step into the central courtyard with real 5 star decor and design. Fresh rose petals waited on our bed in a lovely room.
But the heart of our delight was with the beautiful family that truly looked after us there. Cooking was the best home cooking I've eaten. Service was warm dignified and genuinely caring.
It was a wonderful experience and a great joy. Very good value for money too !.
Thank you again.

This hotel is English owned , and somehow that is reassuring , but the English involvement stops there as all the staff are Moroccan , and the place is run by Jamila who speaks perfect English and French and ,if asked ,will arrange most things you may wish to do. It is only a few minutes walk from all the main action and noise of the Souks , and the market square , taxi ranks etc.,but it is a haven of peace to wake up in ,and return to.Breakfast is good , and you can have dinner cooked for you .We did several interesting trips to outlying parts of Marrakech, hiring a car with driver ...lunch by a tranquil lake , a day at the magnificent Plage Rouge Lido , and another in the lovely fishing town of Essouira . We did so much in our one week stay , and will be returning for more .Marrakech is such a huge culture change yet such a short flight to obtain it . We shall definitely stay at Dar Rocmarra again.

Staying at Dar Rocmarra was a wonderful experience. The rooms are arranged around a charming courtyard with an olive tree and trickling wall fountain. I stayed in the Bijou room. It was clean and warm (I visited in December) and beautifully decorated, with great attention to detail. I loved the Moroccan lamps, the pretty bathroom and the tiled floors. The bed had luxurious sheets and was very comfortable.

On our arrival we were offered mint tea and delicious Moroccan cookies. Dinner could be ordered in advance and the food was superb. A good breakfast is served in the courtyard or on the roof terrace. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful.

The Riad's location in the heart of the Medina is excellent and it is an easy walk to the souks and the Djamaa El Fna. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and hope to return in the very near future.

What more could one ask? Very convenient location, wonderful attentive and friendly staff, tasteful decor, comfortable beds, relaxed atmosphere. No trouble was too much, and we had everything we could have wanted. To cap it all, very fair price in the light of what was offered.

Our 1st visit to Marrakech. The riad was excellent in every way, the seven of us were all looked after in every way possible.Even down to the local Vin Gris wine which went down extremely well sitting on the roof terrace watching the sunset. Rocmarra is well situated for the souks and restaurants. We are going to plan another trip possibly just the girls as we found Marrakech very safe.

What a beautiful place, so authentically and tastefully renovated. A corner of absolute tranquility in the midst of a frenetic and vibrant city. The room was extremely comfortable with flowers in the room, lovely white fluffy towels and soft cotton sheets.

We were made to feel very special and welcomed by the small team that manage and run Dar Rocmarra, they were absolutely wonderful and could not help us enough. The food at the riad was the best we ate - the lamb tagine is to 'die for'. We shall certainly recommend the riad to our family and friends and would return ourselves without hesitation.
