Spending the day with Fatima was the best decision we made while in Marrakech. Truly an unique experience.
Started the day going to the markets to pick out ingredients. When we arrived at Fatima's house a true gem of a garden made the setting for a cooking course we'll never forget.
If we were to recommend one thing to do while in Marrakech it's this class!!!

Thank Beate H

Amazing experience, it was the best and favourite part of our holiday. Fatima was a fabulous host, very welcoming and friendly, and full of local knowledge, it really felt like we were discovering the little secrets of Marrakesh when we went to the different markets to collect the meat, vegetables, and spices. This was a full day of cooking and learning new (to us) techniques for cooking traditional marrakech food.
We were in a small group, which made the experience intimate. We were introduced to her family (as the lesson takes place in the her family garden) which was lovely.
There was an abundance of food by the end of day, but do not worry about any waste, as any leftovers are shared with local villagers.
Overall a very positive experience!

Spending the day with Fatima is great! After finding all our ingredients in the souks we made and ate the best Moroccan food we had all week.

Fatima has been a great source of information and inspiration, we learned not only about food but also about moroccan culture. And she even has some great tips for the Marrakech nightlife and fashion :)

Thanks Fatima!

We spontaneous joined Nezha in the morning of her class. We were 7 people in total and loved our time with her. As she had been on German TV (WDR) and as this was not the first class we took on trips, we knew how it would enrich our days in Morocco.
Nezha took time to explain all spices at the market, had us weigh all vegetables and choose the live chicken. Of course a great course like this needs flexible and friendly people to be a success- we found exactly that and as always, food and company bring you closer with an unknown culture.

For the first full day in Morocco we started with Fatima at a spice shop in the souk in Marrakech. What fun! We learned about all the tastes of Morocco and how to buy the needed spices should we wish to try our hand at cooking once we returned home. From the spice shop Fatima took us to shop for the remaining ingredients needed for each of us to cook our own Tagine lunch. Following the shopping we were welcomed into Fatima home garden where she with Berber women helping we each prepared our own lunch of chicken Tagine, baba ganoush, with tomatoes and eggplant, of course hummus and a local delicacies that the locals call “cigars” with are filo dough bundles filled with delicacies. In a country where we mostly found French spoken, Fatima speaks excellent English, which was welcome as not all of us speak French. Truly something I am not only glad we did but it also gave some insight to local culture. Bayswimmer
