This is the club for non hotel residents in the grounds of the Beldi Hotel. The club is excellent having a very large pool for adults and 2 smaller for children, plenty of space in beautiful gardens with a very good restaurant, where a three course meal comes with the entry price. In our 7 days in a riad in the Medina we came here 3 days as it is so pleasant and well run. The spa was also very good.

I just discovered the Beldi and I am hooked. The place is typical and stunning. The staff is charming and discreet but always around if you need anything. I loved the interior design of the rooms and the old vintage doors laying around the riad ( the owner apparently loves to collect them!)
I went a few days with friends but I'm already planning another trip for a family reunion!

Although the food was not memorable, I would recommend the Beldi for its wonderful gardens and atmosphere. Lots of trendy French expats when we went.
It’s a bit outside the city, so you’ll have to take a taxi. I saw many people had paid the day-fee for using their beautiful pools. And they have the good sense to have built a separate pool for children.

After many day visits to the Beldi for lunch and a day by the pool, I decided to stay overnight in the hotel. The hotel is built in a "country" (beldi) style and is one of the most comfortable and beautiful small hotels I have ever stayed at. It is set about 6km outside Marrakech amongst large fields of roses, olive trees and flowering plants all well tended by an excellent staff. The room/suite I stayed in was very large with a private patio including outdoor bath--there was also a large indoor shower. Linen and bathroom amenities are of the highest quality. Service is friendly. My only reason to give it less than 5 stars is that the food, while good, does not live up to the quality of the hotel in my opinion.

When leaving the airport and heading towards the Beldi Country Club you might wonder, did I make a mistake? Fear not. Once you turn off the paved road onto a dusty way and go over a few bumps you turn a corner and bam the gates to paradise await you.

The Beldi is about a ten-minute drive from the airport. It is not in the Medina, the walled city of Marrakech. This is its advantage. It stretches over a large lush overgrown but manicured property that was once rock barren land.

Getting out of your taxi or hotel transfer vehicle you are greeted by a field of blooming rosebushes – they are quite fragrant. As you wind your way along paths that lead you to the reception, ornamental grasses and flowers galore surround you. You quickly forget the journey’s stress as the properties beauty overwhelms you.

The check-in area is intimate and you are served a refreshing lemon drink. After the formalities you are taken to your room. There are many pathways leading to the accommodations; the rooms are spread out in sections and the buildings are one story. Although this is a newly constructed property it does not feel that way since it was done with a traditional sensibility and ancient techniques. It feels more like a quaint village then a hotel.

The over-sized rooms are decorated with handmade Moroccan furnishings with a contemporary esthetic. There is often a living area as well as a sleeping area and some rooms have a fireplace. Fresh cut flowers are placed throughout the room and bath. They are impeccably clean. The pure fragrant toiletries boost a sense of well-being. Note that the toilet is separated in the bath by a heavy curtain and not a door. I believe every room has a terrace for private relaxation.

Breakfast is served in the garden under a flourishing canopy of greenery. It is a full Moroccan breakfast including fresh baked breads, crepes, fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. Lunch is a lighter menu unless you decide to eat poolside in the area near the spa. Dinner can be served in a tent or on the same patio as breakfast. I have never been disappointed by the food or the friendly service.

There are two very large pools; however, one is only for hotel guests offering privacy. The water is fresh and comes from underground springs and is crystal clear. Hotel staff is available to insure your comfort. A few shops are on one end of the property where you can purchase handcrafted gifts, rugs or home furnishing.

The spa is an enjoyable ten-minute meandering through gardens from the lobby. It follows the same traditional esthetic as the hotel. Spoil yourself with a hammam, gommage and massage. You get to choose from a variety of essential oils, you are bathed on a warm marble bed covered with herbs and flowers and you are served mint tea. The massage is ok but if you have experienced a great deep-tissue massage in the past you might be disappointed, but do not let that prevent you from what the experience does offer.

There is a magical mystique staying within the walled city of Marrakech and there are many magnificent choices for accommodations. Riads are great havens to escape the bustling city and capture a sense of Moroccan life. However, they are more intimate since you are confined to a small walled area and it is not my preference. If you chose to stay in the city, I strongly advise you to take a taxi (about 20 minutes, costing 100 dirham) to the Beldi Country Club for an escape. It will be a moment of serenity and you will be glad you did.

You can relax under the shade of mature olive trees or bake in the sun in private garden areas conducive to relaxation. They have a tariff to use the pool or you can opt for the lunch tariff, which includes pool access. They are both reasonably priced. The food is prepared fresh and is both stunning and tasty.

The Beldi Country Club is owned and run by a passionate French Family, which offers a more personable experience. I am a repeat customer. It is an easy destination from Europe, a perfect three-day romantic weekend or a retreat to clear the mind.

It is also a painless trip from the East Coast of the United States and it offers enchanting cultural diversity. The hotel is very reasonably priced. I think it is the same cost all year long. It is a relaxed atmosphere intended for comfort not pretense.

Day trips can be arranged as well as events. If you are planning a conference, wedding or birthday they have designed the perfect traditional set-up creating Moroccan enchantment; again the food or service has never disappointed me.

If you are looking for an exotic get-away and a sanctuary for relaxation this is the perfect place. It is easy to go back and forth to the city if you so desire. You feel like you are in Morocco even if you choose to remain on the magical compound.

Perfect place if you already know Marrakech as you are close to the medina and can enjoy beautiful gardens and swimming pools, much appreciated when it s sunny and hot.
and even if it's your first time in Marrakech, I really advise this charming hotel, which is just different from the other luxury hotels over there. You really feel at home.

Great decoration in the rooms and restaurants
Food: simple and good, exactly what you need in the sun
Service: staff is always very happy to help
