I would certainly recommend Splash to others heading to Marrakech.
The communication pre visit was swift and comprehensive and the visit great fun.
There was a mix up at their end with our booking being placed in the diary the day after our actual booking confirmation however after a phone call questioning the lack of collection we were advised to take a taxi to a set location where we would then be picked up - this cost was then knocked off our bill at the end.
Mistakes happen. Once notified, Andy dealt with it effectively and with no fuss.
Once at the venue there was a warm welcome, in the form of sweet mint tea and smiles. There was no faffing and we were swiftly briefed and on our ways.
We had booked to use the Dune Buggies however at the last minute changed to Quads. The cost of a quad each is fractionally more than a shared buggy for 2 for the same time and well worth paying for.
There are 2types of dune buggies here - the low riding mean looking type with the sprung suspension on show and then what are essentially a quad/golf buggy hybrid. As we were offered the golf buggies we swapped to a quad each and were so glad we did. I can't comment on the other form of buggies however our group had both quads and the "golf buggies" and all were in agreement that the quads were far better value for money.
Our group of 4 males was originally put with a few other groups however after a 5mins trial drive the group was split down meaning we could put our foot down with others who were also confident in their ability rather than having to hold back for those less confident.
The journey was highly enjoyable, driving across a range of terrains and routes. The first stop off on a ridge provided great views and the sweet tea in a berber village was pleasant even if it did feel a little forced and voyeuristic.
All quads and buggies looked well maintained and the staff were all very pleasant.
The only criticism I would say would be the non definition, or if i missed it, lack of clear definition between the traditional dune buggies and the golf buggies. I don't know whether they have the same engines within however to myself and other semi motor heads there is a sizeable difference between the two and had I known it was the golf buggies I had I would have booked the quads from the off set.
Advice - to make the most of your time, book individual quads as opposed to shared buggies as the value for money is far greater with the quads; you do the same journey in a group however have to share the driving time (that is unless the other dune buggies have a different journey and are a different experience, in which case this really should be noted pre booking).
All in all - satisfied customer who would return.
