My partner and I celebrated our Honeymoon at the Riad Argan and we cannot rate it highly enough. Marrakech is a beautiful city, bustling and vibrant with plenty to do and even more to buy! Francoise and her team at Riad Argan where the most exceptional hosts and made our stay truly memorable organising tours, dinner reservations and spas on our behalf as well as suggesting places to go and things to do.

The Riad is in a great location, very close to the square. It is beautifully decorated with a gorgeous roof terrace and the staff are all friendly and attentive. Would love to go back!

My wife and I spent a delightful three nights at the Riad Argan, enjoying the hospitality of Françoise and her family and staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them from arranging our transfer on arrival in Marrakech to buying our onwards bus tickets for us and booking a taxi to the bus station. W

e stayed in the Sultane suite which had a comfortable bed and great little sofa. The bathroom was closed off behind saloon style doors and contained a lovely warm shower with beautiful local toiletries.

We were really made to feel at home in the Riad and particularly enjoyed our 3 course meal on the evening of our arrival sat by the side of the little courtyard plunge pool.

Françoise also provided an excellent introductory tour of the centre of Marrakech, ensuring that we could find our way to the main square and giving her unique haggling tips.

All in all an excellent Riad that we definitely hope to return to one day.

Room Tip: Sultane was a great room on the top floor which makes it a little more secluded and private.

I spent 2 nights at this riad. It is very well located inside the Medina, in a peaceful and “hidden” alley, 5 minutes walk from the main square. The riad is really accurate, superbly decorated, with a beautiful courtyard where there is also a small pool. The room where we stayed was impressive, so beautiful and elegant! The breakfast is good, with the typical Moroccan pancakes, jams, bread, butter, fruits, orange juice, yoghurt and tea and coffee. We had once a dinner in the roof terrace, which was ok. The owner, Francoise, is very nice. She gave us many suggestions about the city of Marrakesh and the day we arrived she brought us to the Jamaa El Fna, explaining us where to go and what to do.
The only down point is the fact that, as in other riad - the rooms open into the central atrium space and during all the day you hear the people coming and going, talking in the courtyard (which is quite annoying early in the morning).

This riad was the highlight of our trip to Marrakech. We stayed in the Pearl room, on the ground floor. it was one of the larger rooms in the riad and the bathroom was lovely, tall waterfall shower and a good mix of modern and traditional. It had a gorgeous carved ceiling and was very relaxing. On the whole the place was quiet, but we heard everyone's comings and goings as we were near the front door. Also the staff tended to talk in the kitchen area, which was close to our room. I must say, that was the only down point of the whole stay. The location, just south west of Djema el-fna square, walkable in 5 mins. We found a great restaurant near this riad if you get on to main road outside the riad and turn left, it's called Un Dejeuner a Marrakech, and we ended up going their twice in our week long stay. Another nearby place good for lunch and coffee is barakshi cafe.
The riad staff will bring beer on request, mint tea And small snacks are usually lso provided, which are very tasty. The owner, Francois booked us a taxi to and from the airport, and met us from the taxi, thrn walked us to the car when we departed which made us feel very looked after. The weather was still in the high 30s when we were there and our room had brilliant air con which was very much appreciated.

My family of 3 stayed in two rooms for 2 nights from Aug 30- Sep 1 at Riad Argan and a third night at the related Riad Alaka from Sep 2-3. Riad Argan is truly a home away from home. Initially, we had wanted to stay at the same riad for all three nights in Marrakech. But Riad Argan was only available for the first two nights and Francoise offered the third night at Riad Alaka. We did not regret our decision. It was the top accommodation and one of the highlights of our 24 days Europe/Africa trip.

Elegantly and tastefully remodeled and decorated by Francoise over a two-year period, we felt we were in a surreal and dreamy world upon our arrival in the early morning hours the first night. Riad Argan is only a few minutes walk from Jamaa El Fna. It is a relaxing and comfortable respite after venturing to the square, souqs, and museums.

Francoise saw to our every need, including arranging for a private 4x4 taxi to and from the airport, and for our overnight excursion to hike in the High Atlas Mountain in Imlil. (Our flight was delayed and we arrived at Marrakech at 3:30 am instead of 1:00 am. By the time we got our luggage and cleared immigration, it was 4:30 am. To our relief, the taxi driver was there to greet us.) Francoise provided information on the highlights of Marrakech, tips for shopping and bargaining at the souqs, and even arranged for one of the staff to purchase argan oil at the "local" price for us. The three sisters working at Riad Argan also provided excellent service. We only carried our overnight clothes in a backpack for our trek at Imlil. Francoise arranged to move our luggage to Riad Alaka and also greeted us there upon our return from Imlil.

Riad Alaka is also managed by Francoise and we enjoyed our stay there as well. It is located on the northwest side of the medina, closer to the new town area.

Upon our departure from Riad Alaka, Francoise and her husband also bidded us farewell. We have never come across a more graceful, organized, and thoughtful host as Francoise and her support staff at both riads.

My wife and I stayed in four riads or dars in four cities of Morocco and this was the best. Beautifully decorated, clean and quiet, friendly and helpful staff, ideal location. The owner/manager arranges a taxi pick-up, meets you on arrival and gives you a guided tour of the medina upon arrival. I would stay here whenever I come back to Marrakech.

Five of us planned our trip to Marrakech with high expectations based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed! We were allocated the three rooms on the first floor which were all beautifully decorated and very clean, well appointed with comfortable beds and good air-conditioning, essential for a good night's sleep as even the nights were hot!
The Riad is in a perfect location in the Medina, only a short walk from the main square and a calm oasis away from the bustle of the streets outside. We loved the cool plunge pool in the inner courtyard, sipping a beer on returning from trips around the city.
The service we received from Francoise and the lovely family she employs to look after us was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and we would recommend it as the perfect place to stay!
