“Charming Riad with very charismatic host”
Reviewed 21 April 2011

Returning to this Riad at the end of every day gave a nice balance to a very active city. It was calm and quiet with several special spaces throughout. The outdoor spaces of the roof and courtyards are nicely designed by the owner and have a unique character. The hotel host was more than helpful, almost as if he was family making sure everything was going well and we were enjoying our stay. The food was also very good with the cooks producing great meals using organic fresh ingredients. Overall this Riad made this trip quite special.

A friend and I enjoyed a short stay with Julien in his beautiful riad. He is a fantastic host and takes understandable pride in incredible work - he has spent the past 5 years turning the building into a wonderful guest house (with further plans afoot including a rooftop hot tub). He and his lovely team are very friendly and welcoming, but not overbearingly so. Breakfast is wonderful and perfectly sets you up for the day. Lovely - don't hesitate, stay here.

Riad is very pleasant and owner is very amiable, BUT riad is not at the location indicated on any of the booking web-sites. Note also, there is no location map on the actual riad website to correct this. The riad is actually located in the northern-most part of the medina, over 2km from the Place Jemaa el Fna, which can only be reached on foot by navigating through innumerable small alleyways. There are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity of the riad which leaves the option of eating in (good food, but relatively expensive), walking a reasonable distance or taking a taxi to and from the restaurant.
All in all, there is much to commend this riad (read most of the other reviews), but do be aware of its real location.

The Riad les Inseparables will stay in my memory for ever. For a solo woman traveller like me, this place was simply a paradise to get some rest after a 6 months traveling before going home. Clean, quiet, confortable, safe, a beautiful place to stay. I felt like I was a very special guest by all the attention Julien was showing from the beginning to the end. The tagine was wonderfull and the roof top an oasis to take good peacefull time. Thank you Julien for everything and I wish you the best for your Riad.

Julien is the most helpful host ever, as soon as we arrived he was eager to give us useful tips to move around town. The food offered in the Riad is the best we had and it's a real shame it's served to guests only since it really gives the Moroccan cuisine the honor it deserves. Alcohol is served too at honest price, which is a real treat in a city where it's seldom found and served along with prohibitive bills for budget travellers. The Riad itself is lovely and along with it's position in the Medina fulfills the expectations of those who know the difference between a "bite and run" city break and a real experience. Will definitely be back.
