It was our first time in Marrakech and we spent 4 magic nights at Riad Berbère. The Riad is really well situaded, specially for those looking forward to experiencing the heart of the Medina. Once you cross the door and leave the charming chaos of Marrakech behind you, you find yourself in this stylish and spotless little palace, where the smell of roses and the shadows of the orange trees help to create a real contrast with the outside world.
The place is beautiful, minimalist but full of soul. The breakfast is delicious and dinner by the fire super romantic.
Ingrid took very good care of us, showed us around, came to our table every evening to hear our stories about our little discoveries and advice us on every matter about Marocco: from carpets to wines, from restaurants to spas. She even spent and afternoong carpet hunting with us!
I love the discreet charm of the place. Brava, Ingrid!

It was the first experience for our copuple to travel abroad and.. it was the best experience! We have injoined so much the guest-house by itself, its decoration (never stopped to lift up the eyes and look around - it so beautiful, so touchy..), the girls who work there, the rooms (we have been in few during our stay - each next one is better than before), Medina, and Ingrid.
Still can't forget the time we spent there. We have ordered the supper few times and I have understood that it is better than to go out in the evening, even for the very expensive restaurant! I would enjoy to stay there, chatting with personnel, Manager who welcomed us the close friends; we spoked about life, receipts, traditions... everything!
When I will come back.. and I will, I will stay there again, even if I love to try new things I believe this place still has so many beautiful sides to show us!
See you soon, Marroco!

This riad definitely has the wow factor from the moment you step through the door. It smells gorgeous and looks gorgeous.

Our room was so clean and immaculate, we were reluctant to mess it up by unpacking.

The peace and tranquillity of the courtyard is exactly what's needed after the craziness of the streets and souks outside. I could have stayed there all day listening to birdsong, sipping mint tea and watching the resident cats and tortoises.

The staff are friendly, but unobtrusive and Ingrid the manager goes above and beyond. She even accompanied us to a local orphanage as we had gifts to deliver and she expressed an interest in getting involved herself. A lovely lady and a great ambassador for the riad and Marrakech itself.

My one complaint is that I only spent one night here, however I will return soon and for longer.

This is a wonderful place in an excellent location in the Medina. It looks like nothing from the outside but opens to this lovely oasis inside. Our room was a very nice duplex with it"s own terrace and they made it up as twin comfortable beds for us with a charming bath. The first night on our arrivial we had ordered a typical Morocco supper and it was served by the roaring fire and it was delicious and very reasonable. Breakfast was also wonderful, served by the fire. The Riad is easy walking distance to the souks and the Spice Square. The best part of the Riad though is without a doubt, Ingrid the Manager. She is a gem. First, she has patience, second she takes a personal interest in her guests well being and their enjoyment of their stay. She made suggestions where to eat, made reservations, showed us around, made sure we did not get lost, arranged taxis, and even went to the train station early to buy first class tickets for us so we would not have to stand on the train for three hours. Thank you Ingrid for all your help. We loved our stay and I am sure that others will also.

Room Tip: The rooms are quite different.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Le Riad Bebere. We loved our room with the bathroom and hallway with cupboard and room to store luggage on the first floor and stairs leading to a large bedroom with it's own terrace on the second floor. We took pleasure in the understated Morrocan style of the decore. The communal living room with a high ceiling was often chilly at this time of the year, we might have spent more time in there if the staff had lit the fire or putting the heating on more often. We enjoyed eating breakfast on the roof-top terrace, it involved the staff having to do a lot of stair climbing and we wondered if there is an alternative solution.

Our son had fun running around the inner courtyard of the Riad playing with the four cats and looking for the two tortoises.

Ingrid, the manager was helpful and understood our needs. My only improvement suggestion is that we would have appreciated it if we could have had breakfast before 8.30am, our son was normally awake at his usual time of 6 - 6.30am and was very hungry by the usual time breakfast was served. We appreciated Ingrid arranging for us to have our breakfast earlier on our day of departure.

My friend and I visited Marrakech this February and we had the most wonderful, relaxing stay in this stunning riad. In the heart of the Medina, close to Spice Square and a ten minute walk to the main square as other reviewers have said, an oasis in the noisy bedlam which is the wonder of the medina of Marrakech. As with most riads in the medina you need to find your bearings and Ingrid the manager will help you to do this. First time in Marrakech then definitely let Ingrid organise your transfer as a taxi cannot get close enough and she organisers a porter to get you and your luggage through the maze. The staff were wonderful and we particularly enjoyed our breakfast on one of the top terraces, had a sunbathe on another, a great pedicure, should have fitted in a massage as other guests said it was fantastic and had a special meal cooked for us on one night. We enjoyed the company of the three house cats and two tortoises. Thanks Ingrid and your team. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Berber.
It’s very well located and is very beautifully done.
The breakfast was very nice (loved the fresh strawberries!) and plenty.
The staffs are all very friendly and offered us tea and cookies whenever we returned from the hustle and bustle of the media with a smile.
We loved our beautiful room and wished we had more days. But the best asset to this riad is the manager Ingrid.
Upon checking in, she actually walked out with us and showed us the way back from the major points in the medina.
This was our 2nd time in Morocco and we have stayed in several riads in Fez and Marrakech medinas but this was the first.
We are not afraid to get lost in the medina but felt very special and gave us the impression that she’s is very thorough and in fact she was!
Since we told her we were in the market for a carpet, she introduced us to some of the shop owners and we ended up with a beautiful piece.
When this carpet turned out to be too heavy to check in, she called the local number for the airline and inquired about the luggage policy on our behalf(since we don’t speak French), made arrangement with the shop owner to get it shipped to us in the states…etc etc…she went above and beyond for us. She’s very helpful and reliable but not imposing at all and took time with all the guests who were there at the time equally.
There are so many choices in the medina and they might be equally beautiful, but you will not regret staying here for the personal service you’ll receive. Thank you Ingrid for taking such good care of us!
