“Great staff which made up for an average resort”
Reviewed 18 March 2014

Have just come back from a short break in Morocco staying in the Adama Resort. We arrived in the evening in the pouring rain and were picked up at the airport by the resort mini bus, the driver was very helpful though only spoke a little English.

We were shown to our villa which was charming. We had a reasonable dinner in the restaurant and went to bed. As other contributors have said the bed\mattress was very hard and the whole of our stay my husband slept badly.

Breakfast was poor with rather stale cold cuts of meat and cheese, with a fruit salad that looked like it had been made the day before and bread and pastries(which were actually not too bad.) On our second day we discovered pancakes they were good. On the whole I found breakfast extremely disappointing.

There was a nice fruit bowl in our villa on arrival which was never refreshed while we were staying resulting in some brown apples and bananas, it would have been rather nice to find it looking good every day. The same for the bath essence and shampoo, in most hotels they are always replaced when having been used!

The restaurant and food were not of a high standard and would definitely recommend eating in Marrakech which we resorted to. There is no where to relax whilst having a drink, which maybe in the summer or when its not raining is available to guests.

The staff were all extremely helpful and made our stay enjoyable. To sum up this is a pleasant but not luxurious resort which I would not recommend to friends.

This "resort' of about 50 bungalows and villas is located about 7 km away from Marrakech center, on the road to Amizmiz. The transfer from the airport is quick (15 mns) but will cost about 15 euro per person unless you take a taxi.
You will be welcomed by overall very kind people (as very often in Morocco) and at first sight the resort looks great : modern interpretation of classical Moroccan architecture, quiet atmosphere, welcoming pool, spa. The villas are spacious and well equipped... but as hours and days pass some things become annoying : lights in the living room aren't strong enough to read at night, the reading light over my bed had no bulb, in the bathroom there was no towel hanger, nothing to put shampoo and shower gel, the shower itself did not hold to the wall... no hairdryer, you got to ask it from reception. The heating is by airflow only, making it useless at night unless you are used to sleep in the subway... Blankets are made from synthetic fabric...
The restaurant is nice, it is not cheap but acceptable in price and quality. However most customers would take their meals outside. Breakfast is not cheap (13€ per person !), and if you order it in the room (like if you need to have it before 7.30am which is the opening time) you will be served some cheese, juice, yoghurt and bread for the same price !!
There are several free shuttles per day. Another option is the bus (line 45) which will cost you 6 dirham and is available all the time.
In short, yes it is nice and cheaper than other resorts, but you must be aware of some weaknesses. I would certainly not recommend it if you plan to stay there in winter.

We were here (2 mums escaping for a rare bit of peace and quiet!) for 5 nights from 13th November 2013 and it was perfect for us. Calm, quiet, lovely treatments and attentive staff. The villas are spacious and beautifully decorated and the gardens and pool a delight. However, it's the staff who make it - Miriam and her team are very friendly and polite, helpful about where to go shopping, eating and drinking and full of good advice. Marrakech is of course bustling, overwhelming at times and it was always heaven to be on our courtesy bus heading back for a cocktail by the pool! Our trip set us up to endure the English winter and we will definitely go back. Cannot rate highly enough!

Room Tip: They all looked good to me!

We stayed here for 6 nights, actually I am still here on my last day. What a lovely quiet and friendly resort booked via voyage prive

The waiters and staff were all so nice and informative of the area and things to do, and not even having to get up off my chair for a glass of orange juice

Highly recommend

Having spent 3 of our 5 nights in the center of Marrakech we decided we needed a little peace and quiet so spent our last 2 nights here. It was the perfect place to relax in the sunshine by the pool in the lush green gardens. Our villa was enormous with all the self-catering utensils you could ever need. The beds were slightly too hard for our liking but otherwise it was a very comfortable stay. We decided to self-cater as much as possible, having made a visit to one of the well-stocked Carrefours in town before arriving. The shop on site is VERY limited and the food in the restaurant is pretty average so would recommend following our lead. The free shuttle bus in/out of town was also really helpful. However the cost of getting a transfer to the airport was very overpriced at 15 euros per person. We arranged a cab from town for just 10 euros in total by speaking to a driver in the main square in Marrakech. Most of them know exactly where the complex is.

Beautiful villa outside of Marrakech. The free shuttle bus meant easy and safe access to Marrakech! Our villa was superb- stunning in fact! Decor was gorgeous and the pool was such a delight in the afternoon Moroccan sun. Out villa had a private garden and backed onto the pool- heaven!
Breakfast wasn't included and seemed very expensive but if you can wait go into the city on first shuttle bus and breakfasts on the square are extremely cheap and amazing especially the homemade yogurts! Or the shop n site sells breakfast items to cook in the villa kitchens.
The restaurant food was nice and good value for money for a hotel but not really comparable to eating in the city - we mainly went to Morocco for food so you'll be missing out big time if you eat in the hotel every night!
We did have a power black out but it was a warm night so sitting looking at the stars wasnt so bad for an hour or so!
Well needed air con worked all over the villa and the service was great throughout our stay!
Would go back for sure!

Room Tip: Villas surrounding the pool are the best!

As four young girls travelling to Marrakech we were apprehensive, but the hotel and Moroccans made us feel very welcome. Whilst we we're being shown round our apartment all we could say was 'WOW', we had two double bedrooms with en suites, a kitchen, lounge and garden. Cleaned everyday, have to say we were unsure if they had upgraded us! Pool staff were all extremely helpful, fantastic with children and made sure everyone was happy. Have to say the food at the hotel wasn't to our liking and very over priced! 300Dhs for a coke but the small shop on site is half the price, best thing to do is take a trip to carrefour or eat in the town. Be prepared to be patient, service can be quite slow and also the beds are extremely hard but nothing that would put us off returning to the Adama. Only used the hotel shuttle bus once (times didnt suit us) to go to the water park (very good), arrived on time to pick us up but driver wasnt great even compared to the crazy driving we'd seen in general. We went to both the old and new town, have your wits about you and you'll enjoy it (do not eat in the square, there is surrounding restaurants which are better for tourists) - take a horse ride to see the sights without being hassled. The night-life is unreal, plenty of clubs and we were treated like celebrities, free drinks all night, VIP booth and dedicated waiters. Best thing to do is book your taxi's through the hotel, we had a fantastic driver we used everyday and never over charged us, his name is Ishmael (unsure of spelling). In he-insight we would of stayed for more than we week, there is so much to see and do.

Room Tip: We had to go outside to get to one of our rooms, which was perfectly fine for ourselves but may not...
