“Atrocious”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2013

Arrived about 10pm to find the place empty with only one guy sitting on reception. All the lights were off except for one bulb in the lobby area. We were quickly abandoned and left to sit there for about an hour until we are told our food was ready. It was a very bizzare experience and we kind of felt like we'd been taken hostage at one point. We were given a few beers and a bottle of fanta that looked like it'd been sitting there since about 1950 and ushered to our rooms where we were greeted by our many 6 legged roommates. The rooms looked like they'd never been cleaned and had no running water. The next morning we left to find a hotel in the medina and the hotel owner kicked off when we said we're leaving. We told him to do one and went on to enjoy a brilliant week in the centre of Marrakech.

Room Tip: Rooms are all death traps

The hotel must have been a beautiful place in the sixties. Rooms are romantic decorated, with round beds, silk sheets, Greek pillars, curtains everywhere. We even had aroom with a circular bath tub 1,5 m2! But, almost everything is broken. Showerheads falling off, airco didn't work, lamps broken, poor cleaning, squeaky doors. We were the only guests. Because of the poor lightning and the squeaking of the doors we started talking about a hounted hotel. We kind of liked this for one night. As an experience. Price is reasonable (300 dhs for a room).Cooking is tradirional Marroccan

Room Tip: Keep asking for better rooms than you end up in the suite. Still poor but the best experience
