Like most of the comments about Riad Vendome, the location does get some use to, my advice take a card and pick a land point for reference. This Riad is an oasis, it offers a great location, service of a 5 star hotel, security like no other hotel. Staff that are helpful friendly and that serve wonderful food from breakfast to an evening meal. The pool, is great for cooling off from the heat and the terrace a lovely relaxing place. Have the airport transfer, worth every penny. If you need help with anything from a good restaurant to watching the football, Eric and his team are always ready to help, especially Mohammed. Some advice for English travelers, learn some French it does help

Loved the hotel - a litlle oasis down some winding alley ways in the heart of Marrakesh. Could not fault the friendly staff. The room accomodation was better than a 4 star in Egypt for example but without the outdoor facilities. TV, air con and nice bathroom. Breakfast was bread, pastries, freshly squeezed fruit juice and as much tea and coffee as you want. roof terrace and small pool in the open courtyard at ground floor level. The website is totally misleading re the spa facilities (there really are none)- one v small room with a treatment table and one small turkish bath/ steam room type of arrangement. Separated from the lobby/ pool/breakfast room by only a curtain. I had a massage and facial. Massage ok at best and facial woeful - basically left alone with a steam machine over you. Not equiped with any nice oils etc and someone is hired in to treat you. At 80 Euros I regretted being the guinea pig for my friends! If you are looking for very reasonably priced, clean, friendly and central accommodation though this is a good option.

Room Tip: Good clean, central hotel. DREADFUL spa!!

Make sure you take up the offer of getting picked up at the airport (20 euros) because otherwise you would never find this riad! Once you are there however you will appreciate the calm that is this place. The riad is fairly basic but really quaint. The rooms are very clean and the plunge pool and roof terrace are great. The breakfast is good.
It is about a 10min walk from the square along a straight road and is central enough without being stuck in the middle of a very noisy and chaotic city.
The rooms don't have a key and can't lock but it is a small place and feels quite secure. The toilets have a curtain instead of a door so make sure you know the people you are with!
A really nice place to stay

Room Tip: Family room has enough space for 4 adults

This Riad was a great place to stay. Small and quaint, and unlike many other Riads in Marrakech this one has a neutral, bright and calming colour palette.

We arrived late at night, and were welcomed with mint tea and the magical reflections of the turquoise pool, chillout music and trees growing in the courtyard. Quite a contrast from the hustle and bustle of the arrival one experiences in Marrakech centre.

Visitors be aware - this riad (like most) is down some deep and winding streets (if you can call them that) and even with a map you are extremely unlikely to find it without a guide. A taxi will drop you at the side of the main road and you will need to meander your way through a few alleys until you get to the Riad. Easy to get lost as there are no signs, and house numbering works in some haphazard way - the best thing is to just hand over £2-3 to a kid offering to take you there, your experience will be much less stressful than ours! We did think we were being taken down a back alley to get mugged at first, but alas, at the end of three dark alleyways is the lovely Riad Vendome!

With just a small number of rooms it's very personal and at times feels like you have the run of the manor! There were only a few guests staying while we were there.

The staff are very nice and friendly, although they don't speak much English. The breakfasts were simple but nice. Bread, pastries, butter and jam with fresh OJ and coffee or tea. Snack drinks and meals are available but are priced in Euros and therefore are slightly dearer than other hotels and restaurants offering in Dirhams.

The rooms we saw are lovely. Also quite simple, Moorish style but with a simple clean but and modern slant. The television didn't seem to work, but this really didn't matter. There is free wifi which is handy. Ask for a room not on the main courtyard - it is quieter.

The only thing we thought was odd in comparison with other places we've stayed is that they did not turn over our room each day. We stayed for 4 nights and our towels or bedding were only re-made once in that time which was a little disappointing.

All in all a great place to stay, very well located for walking into the Souks, and if it's all too much, for escaping to and lounging on the roof terrace with a beer. Lovely.

It´s a really tipical beautiful riad, the room was good for a family. A little bit cold in the winter, but I´m shore is perfect for summer. If you ask for transport at the aeroport, be carefull, because you will pay 20€ for it but when you arrive, there are a guys waiting that you might think they are from the hotel, but they will ask you for more 10€ for the bag transportation, and it´s a very small distance!
The Breakfast it´s Ok (nothing special) with natural fresh orange juice and very well served by the waitresses. We were lucky with our room, but there were some rooms with lack of. privacy. Sometimes a little bit noisy, we could ear the peolple talking in the bar. The staff was in general very nice.

First of all i stayed at the Riad Vendome recently and skruk's comment is completely wrong (probly a competitor) there are no bedbugs. Now for the honest assessment: Riad Vendome is almost there. The location is within walking distance of just about everything, and walking is the best way to see the real marrakech. finding the riad without a driver or guide can be a bit harrowing if you have never been to marrakech, because it is impossible to find without the assistance of one of the street kids, who you need to give a few durham for the help once the taxi goes as far as it can, dropping you off at a square called dar el bacha. You arent being hustled when the kids lead you into a dark alleyway next to nut/candy vendor--thats how you get to the riad. The staff consists mainly of two women who work for Eric, the owner, who are incredibly nice and eager to help. Their English is not quite there, but they are full of joy. We expected to be picked up at the airport but no one was there to meet us even after we tried to sort it out with them on the phone. The Riad is a newly renovated Riad, so the plumbing and electricity were problematic at times. the rooms face a central courtyard down below, so it can be a bit loud at times (although the girls were happy to turn it down when we asked)--not a problem when you are out late in the wonderful city, which the Riad is so well located in. When we explained our grievances to eric at the end of our stay, he gave us a partial refund, which I think was very fair of him and the final price came out to about 75$/night/person--which is what i think i would have paid for this experience. I would definilty consider staying here again once eric works out the water/electricity (the hot water was unreliable and the power went out a few times--but nothing that would make a stay there intolerable).

The hotel looks nice on the surface but the problems are there nevertheless.
The room was extremely dirty, and if that was the only problem that would be fine. The unexpected surprise waiting for me on my return home, was the bed bugs i got from this hotel. It is inexcusable for a supposedly luxury hotel to have bed bugs. It is very expensive, the service is poor to say the least and of course they charge an extra fee if you pay by credit card, which they never tell you in advance.
Avoid for the sake of your health.

Dear,

Better than a long answer to justify a comment from someone who never come in our riad,

If a customer find some "bedbugs" in their bed, we will reimburse him.
