“Had to send food back...”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 April 2014

Pros - lovely location, terrace had great views of the nesting storks, nice ambience.

Cons - very slow service, after almost an hour food arrived but was stone cold so had to return it. They popped it in the microwave as came back super hot without the avocado that didn't fare to well being zapped! The 'no photography' signs which were odd and mainly ignored.

“Great food but could be better!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

We dined at the Kosybar tonight for the second time on our five day trip to Marrakech.

It's a great location, good for seeing the sunsets and has views across Marrakesh. It has a warm and friendly ambience, with good quality food but it's not cheap!

The alcohol is very expensive compared to other bars/restaurants.

Note: it has free WIFI which can be an little flakey!

They have live music in the form of a talented singer with a backing pianist. The singer covers the numbers of Lionel Richie, Barry White and Stevie Wonder and many more. Highly entertaining!

The waiting staff are friendly but service is slow - they clearly need more staff!

Reading some of the other comments on here, they really are too critical and unfair.

The Kosybar is worth visiting.

“Nice for afternoon drink”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014 via mobile

I see this has had a few bad reviews recently. We didn't eat, so I can't comment on that. But it is a nice place to sit on a roof terrace for an afternoon drink. Comfortable seating, sunshades, nice rooftop views. Near the stork nests. They were a little slow at clearing tables when people left, but the staff were polite. Didn't tontine any problems with others smoking. It served the best wine by the glass we've had, and a good mojito. Yes, it is expensive. The mojito was D110 and the wine about D60. But this place is aiming at the rich local set and westerners and the prices are like London or Paris. But then again, it's smoother round the edges than most local places.

Overall, I'd say it's a good place for a lazy drink but you need to be aware it's a lounge scene aimed at westerns and wealthy locals, and it sets prices that way.

“The worst place we visited in Marrakech”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

Similar to other travellers this is over-priced and over-rated. We paid as much for 4 drinks here as we did for our meal at the next restaurant we visited. Service is dreadful, you wait ages to be served and even longer to get the bill. Very impersonal and uninspired. Trades on the name and location rather than on service or ambience. Best avoided given the hundreds of better restaurants and bars in the vicinity.

“Disappointing and over priced. Avoid at all costs!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

Beautifully situated with incredible views of the city but over priced, lacking in quality and service shoddy at best. We paid £5ish for 25cl of beer and were left waiting for our food to arrive for a long period of time (at least 45 mins). The ambience is worth stopping for a drink but no more... Also, do not have the sushi - my wife had a terrible stomach through the night and next morning.
Such a shame as we had high hopes.
One word; overrated.
