“'What a wonderful life!'”
Reviewed 19 January 2014

As we had the dream to get some sunshine on our skin in the first week of this new year….., we did only decide last minute to look for a short (4 days) stay in Marrakesh.
Fortunately Riad Kheirredine proved to have 2 rooms to accommodate our stay (family with 2 grown up kids).
Knowing that this place was highly rated we were really looking forward to the experience.
From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure it was wonderful!
This Riad is located in the heart of the Medina and as you’ll learn from comments of other guests, this place is a real oasis in the hectic life of Marrakesh.
From the moment of arrival till our moment of departure, we’ve enjoyed the warmth and the service offered by the whole crew of this Riad and felt privileged that we had this wonderful experience.
Definitely a place we can strongly recommend and will stay top of our list in case we would return for another visit to Marrakech!

We stayed at the Riad Kherredine for 3 days and 2 nights. We had a wonderful weekend, we loved Marrakech the Souks and this amazing Riad. If you are going to Marrakech don't stay anywhere else!! You are well and truly looked after, from start to finish. There are many special touches in this Riad but the breakfast on the roof terrace is a must and one of the hi lights of our stay. A huge thank you to all the Wonderful staff.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Rose room, which was lovely and overlooking the court yard and pool area. All rooms...

Where to begin? Me and my boyfriend wanted to stay at riad Kheirredine for seven nights. Unfortunletly, it was only availible for four nights the dates we were in Marrakech. Luckily there was an other riad just two minutes away (which riad Kheirredine recommended and booked for us) so we stayed there (riad Origines) the three first nights and then the last four nights at riad Kheirredine.

Even though we were staying at an other riad the three first nights, riad Kheirredine helped us a lot during the first days when we were a little lost since it was our first time in Marrakech. When we arrived, we got a phone from riad Kheirredine which we could bring with us everywhere and call whenever we needed to. Fontunetly we did not need to use it very often, but it made us feel much more secure wandering the streets in the Medina. If we got lost, we could call them and they would come and help us. If we were out eating dinner late, we could call them to walk with us from the restaurant back to the riad again. (The streets are pretty small and it gets very dark during night time and it can be a little scary the first time you walk there)

More about the riad- it was simply amazing! The room we got (the Ambra suit) was very good. Clean, always fresh fruit on the sofa table and they came to make the bed before night time. The roof terrace at riad Kheirredine was fantastic.Perfect for tanning, relaxing and eating breakfast. The breakfast matched the riad- amazing too. They had the best lemonade I've ever tasted!

I really recommend riad Kheirredine, but not because of the amazing roof terrace or the delicious breakfast, but because of the staff. They really made you feel welcomed. They made you feel secure. They made you feel like you're on vacation. So sweet, helpful and nice.

If you're looking for a great riad, riad Kheirredine is something for you!

We were a family of three with an 8 year old daughter looking to expand her knowledge of non-european culture. We picked the perfect base for this to happen.

At the airport we were met by our driver and driven into the city. Upon arriving at the drop off location we were met by a hotel staff member Ismail and 2 baggage carriers, less than 5 mins easy walk to the Riad through the winding medina streets and we arrived at what can only be described as a stunning boutique hotel and a brunch/snack along with a cool drink to welcome us.

We stayed for a week in the Jasmine room, it was an ideal suite split over 3 floors, the ground floor having the bathroom, the middle floor a king sized bed and the top floor the master bedroom leading out onto a private balcony.

Service is important when I’m looking for somewhere to stay and I was not dissapointed in any way. We agreed that this can only be compared to a michelin starred restaurant in hotel form. Noting was too much trouble but at the same time the staff were not imposing or pushy in any way.

It is a 10-15min stroll to the main square but is easily remembered how to get back to the Riad, especially as you are guided on your first trip into the city by a member of the hotel and are also given a mobile phone to use for any questions or help needed during your stay.

Our daughter fell ill with a 24hr stomach bug/fever midway through the stay, the hotel again went over and above what you expect sending out a staff member to go buy a thermometer late on a Sunday when the city is closed and offering to take us to the hospital if we needed.

The breakfasts were fantastic with a huge amount on offer: fresh fruit, cake, bread, pancakes, eggs.. the list goes on. Snacks such as Omlette, Salad etc. can be ordered during the day and it is definitely worth reserving the home cooked meal, the tagine was delicious and the portions large.

The balcony/terrace areas are perfect for relaxing on those days when you feel like a break from the busy city centre life and the small courtyard pool is ideal to cool down in.

The overall feel of this Riad is luxurious, calm, relaxing and perfect. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to stay and I would certainly return again if I was in Marrakech.

Room Tip: The Jasmine Suite is fantastic for a family of 3. The room on the top floor with door to the private...

Our second Riad during our 9 day trip to Marrakesh marked the perfect ending of a wonderful stay! The Riad itself is a bit difficult to find, but the staff were more than happy to guide us safely back made this "problem" disappear. After a lovely welcoming we got situated in the beautiful Yasmine room and enjoyed a lovely dinner at the Riad (reccommended).

Breakfast was served every morning at the roof-top terrace by the most service-minded lady we have evet met (unfortunately cannot remember her name). The ladies at the reception were more than helpful 24 hours a day and made our stay complete.

We will definitely return to this Riad next time we visit Marrakesh! Our warmest recommendations - thanks for a perfect stay!

Room Tip: The Yasmine room was lovely if you do not mind stairs (three floors). A bit noise from the streets...

My wife and I spent three nights in Riad Kheirredine for our Christmas holiday and still can't believe how great our stay was. We've been fortunate enough to do a lot of travelling and the level of service at Riad Kheirredine was on a completely different level than anywhere we have stayed before. Yajaira and Valentina felt like long-lost friends and went well out of their way to make our stay perfect. Youssef was very friendly and did a great job teaching us the route from the Riad to the square. We never had any trouble finding our way around after his lesson. Thank you so much for making our trip so special! Matt and Karina

We were a family of 4 travelling in Morocco, and Riad Kheirredine was our first stop. It is a beautifully designed & serene riad a 10 minute walk from the souks. While you give up that central proximity, the value is that you get to experience the quieter, non-touristy parts of the old medina, and the riad makes it very easy for you to navigate. They give you a local cell phone pre-programmed with their number to use during your stay, and walk you to/from your destinations if needed (though we were excited to learn to navigate on our own, and felt really accomplished when we did). Valentina, Yajaira, Youssef, Brahim, and all the staff took such good care of us, it was hard to say goodbye to them. When the airline lost one of our bags, they took the time to help us call & track it down. No request was ever too much, and they were exceedingly kind & helpful with directions, recommendations and information about our surroundings. Breakfast & dinner in their dining room was delicious & cozy, and their rooftop terrace with spectacular views was a favorite late afternoon spot. We stayed in the 3-level Jasmine Suite, which was perfect for families - Master bedroom on top, kids in the middle, and bathroom downstairs. We will miss everyone at the Kheirredine! xx

Room Tip: Jasmine Suite was great for a family of 4.
