“Good food, great price”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

The food was good, hearty, home cooked feeling. Price was great. Atmosphere was so so, but service was good.

“Good value”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

We visited Oscar Progres on recommendation from the owner of our riad. Serves the usual range of food found in Marrakech - tagines, cous cous, pastilla etc. Good value, fast service, tasty & only a couple of minutes walk from the main square.

“Fantastic quality and great value”
Reviewed 31 January 2014

We found Restaurant Oscar as a recommendation from a local - lucky us!

This place was really really cheap. Each time we started with Salad Oscar (25dh) and then had a prune and lamb tagine (50dh, with PLENTY of baked almonds and meat falling off the bone beautifully). Chicken tagine was also only 35dh but we didn't try it. The decor is "canteen" style and isn't luxury - but the service is quick and friendly, the food is great, and there's a big choice including a full menu for 100dh. It has a buzzing city feel, and we loved finding our own little local place to go to. We ate here 3 times (in a very short time!) as it saved us so much money and was so pleasant.. great staff too.

“Tasty, cheap and just off the Jemaa El Fna”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

Just south of the frenetic scenes at the Jemaa El Fna is this cool, tiled bastion of the simple, cheap and cheerful Marrakchi meal. The staff are uber-efficient and pleasant, and the place is stuffed with people pursuing grilled meats, simple salads and thin-cut chips. A couple at the next table enjoyed a vast pastilla, while we opted for savoury couscous in a range of varieties, juicy olives and a great mixed salad.

“Good value basic Moroccan”
Reviewed 22 December 2013

On my first night in Marrakesh, I had excellent chicken shish and truly brilliant chips. Contrary to popular though, chips are very difficult, but these were hand made, very crisp on the outside, soft and fluffy in teh middle.

Very good price - a welcome respite from the hubbub of Djmaa el Fna.
