“Pleasant place to while away a few hours”
Reviewed 8 July 2014

We found Bert's whilst looking for a 'beer' outside the medina. It was during the World Cup qualifiers so with the outdoor tv the restaurant was usually fairly busy. We ate there twice and on both occasions, chinese and traditional, the food was pretty good and as many others have said, made a welcome change from couscous and tagines. Prices for Marrakech were reasonable and the waiters were very friendly and enjoyed a good laugh (C'mon Wales!).

“They sell beer”
Reviewed 28 June 2014

Hot afternoon after a walk to the New Town from the Medina. Hunger. Thirst. Both assuaged, at a price. Pizza called - yes, of course they could. They did - by phoning out... Garden in dire need of attention. The beer was cold though. It's a bit in the middle of nowhere - about halfway between Jemaa el Fna and the New Town.

“Happy Hour Rip-Off”
Reviewed 11 January 2014 via mobile

I went to this bar yesterday in the early evening whilst en route to the New Town. Although the boards advertise 'two for one' on a whole series of drinks and on arrival the staff refer to 'happy hour'; when you come to pay the bill the establishment will do everything possible to avoid honouring the offer. Avoid it is just not worth the hassle!

“Waste of time!”
Reviewed 9 January 2014

The menu is limited, food was mediocre at best..ordered a chicken tagine and it came without any vegetables or couscous- considered as an "extra".... Service was extremely slow as there was only one waiter and drinks were overpriced considering location Overall poor not worth a visit..

“Really Fun Night Out & Good Food”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

If you are looking for something other than Tajine, or a few cocktails in a fun environment, this is the place. We had a great night out with lots of cocktails, music and dancing. The staff were really friendly and very entertaining - singers, live music, a magician and a few really good dancers! Lots of fun and not super high prices.
