The square got hot so we needed a place for a drink. This served the purpose. We had some mineral water and watched people .

Overpriced, unless you think €4 for 3-4 biscuits from the cheapest cookies is a good deal.. €2 for mint tea, local café au lait is about €0.60 and more of an ambiance.

This place like The Connection from Bangkok in Marrakesh.

We spent a few hours relaxing on the terrace after a busy after wondering around the souk. It a great place to watch the sun set and see the square come to life. The Ice Cream Sunday selection was really good and they tasted great. No alcohol is sold

This place has clearly seen better days, and reminded us of colonial hotels in Macau and Penang, but we had a very pleasant hour or more overlooking the square during the afternoon.

The highest terrace has a set meal for 100 dirhams on one side, and ices and drinks on the other, neither of which quite hit the spot for us, and from other comments here I think the fixed menu would have been a disappointment.
The waiter directed us to the middle terrace that does a menu which we thought offered more choice and was reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly - One of us had salad nicoise the other chicken couscous and we had soft drinks.

There is a reasonably clean loo on this floor which was free. Maybe the one in the basement is the one for which there is a charge.

We thought this was a pleasant bit of old Marrakech and compared with the pricier and tasteless food at the tourist restaurants opposite the Katoubia minaret this was good value and just a bit more "real".
