“Glorious Vacation”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 March 2012

I just returned from Peacock Pavilions where I co-hosted a week long painting retreat, Moroccan Sketchbook. Peacock Pavilions exceeded all of our expectations. Everyone was delighted. We LOVED the fresh, delicious and nutritious food and luxurious, relaxing surroundings. Peacock Pavilions hooked us up with great local guides, drivers, restaurants, the best spa ever, pilates instructor and gave shopping tips which proved effective. The pool was perfect in the afternoon. We got a big kick out of the outdoor movie screening. Our stay was splendid and I can hardly wait to go back next year.

Room Tip: Impossible to choose between all the gorgeous rooms!

I had the great pleasure of leading a painting workshop, Moroccan Sketchbook, with my dear friend and fellow painter, Margaret Owen, at the incomparable Peacock Pavilions last week.
Maryam Montague’s impeccable attention to detail, her signature style and the delicious and carefully prepared meals are just a few of the many details that made our stay at Peacock Pavilions, well, perfect!

I spent a week in early March at Peacock Pavilions. My friends and I participated in a yoga retreat. We all agreed that this place is incredible! The food and decor are absolutely wonderful. Even the bed was so comfortable. As the other reviewers mentioned, both Maryam and Chris are gracious and welcoming hosts. I cannot wait to visit again.

I attended the amazing Eat.Pray.Move yoga retreat at Peacock Pavillions in March 2012 and all I can say is this place is infused with magic and grace. Really, its the kind of place that makes you come home wanting to take French, Mosaic your bedroom ceiling, put dried roses in tiny silver bowls , and plant a vegetable garden. When you visit peacock pavillions, you are in the home of an artist and a gracious hostess. The physical beauty of the place is only matched by the thoughtfulness with which the space and details were designed..from the outdoor under-the-stars cinema w fire pit, to the toasty hot water bottles to cozy up to in bed, to the food grown in the garden and wine tasting party , the yoga tent...I could go on, but please do yourself a favor and go see it for yourself. Thank you to Maryam and Chris, for hosting us, for all your tireless travel itinerary tips, for going the extra mile to make us feel comfortable, and most of all for creating this beautiful space to share with others.

Room Tip: Each room is uniquely magical and and appointed with great heart and passion for details. I really w...

I just spent an absolutely lovely week at Peacock Pavilions enjoying the beautiful property and the most amazing meals. The hosts, Maryam and Chris, are wonderful and have created a stunning hotel where they look after every need and request of their guests. We had the privilege of being a group so we got to see each room and every one is a unique delight. I was fortunate enough to stay in the "honeymoon" suite which is the largest of the rooms and has a beautiful terrace overlooking the property and view out to the mountains. The food requires multiple mentions and much praise, everything was absolutely delicious and a visual as well as a taste delight.

The one thing I think it helps to know is that the hotel is located about 25 minutes outside of Marrakech down a dirt road on the other side of a spec of a village. This isn't a negative but it helps to know so one understands that the driver is going to the correct place since a few people in our group expressed that they had question marks in their heads along the way.

I just returned home from leading my third EAT.PRAY.MOVE yoga retreat at Peacock Pavilions, and just as always - it was a magical experience. Every little detail here is taken care of for you - from travel arrangements to the scrumptious desserts. I always look forward to going back to Marrakesh to spend time at the beautiful Pavilions, see the owners and staff which make you feel like long-time friends, and truly retreat from the day to day. Whether it's lounging by the pool watching the song birds swoop in for a drink, enjoying the sunset from one of the terraces, or savoring a meal in the exotic dining tent - a trip to Peacock Pavilions is one that you won't forget. Set just outside the hectic city, it's a great refuge after a day of site-seeing. Don't miss out on a chance to experience it!

I spent a week here in February 2012 and it was absolute perfection. Maryam and Chris were the best hosts and flawlessly catered to the needs of our group; whether it was vegetarian dining or hot water bottles for our beds, every need was taken care of. The rooms are even more beautiful in person and the living areas are so lovely that it's hard to pry yourself away to explore the city. One of my favorite things about staying at Peacock Pavillions, aside from the amazing food and decor, were the little bits of myth and magic Maryam would describe about the surrounding country and people. I will definitely find a reason to get back to this place!

Room Tip: I got the chance to see each room and they are all absolutely amazing! You can't lose.
