“Peaceful oasis in the heart of Marrakech”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 February 2014 via mobile

Lovely little Riad very relaxed and quiet and located about 5 mins walk from the square, kasbah and the mosque.

We were immediately welcomed by pascal the owner and given a free upgrade to their best room. Breakfast was lovely. Would go back :)

We spent 3 nights here. Our room had a great en-suite and we had breakfast on the sunny roof terrace each morning. Our host Pascal was very helpful when we asked for his advice. We slept very well and used the sun terrace to relax. There are lots of places to eat nearby and in the big square. It was so good we returned to Riad Zanzibar and spent a forth night there at the end of our trip.

Recently spent 4 nights at the Riad Zanzibar, we were 5 girls on holiday. We stayed in the Tsavo room which is a family suited room. I organised an airport pick on the day, Pascal the owner organised this, would def recommend getting an airport pick up as the driver will take you straight to the door. The Riad is very clean we had our room cleaned every day with fresh towels. The staff speak little english but are very helpful. We had breakfast every day which was basic but nice we felt like eggs one day and this was not a problem to get hard boiled eggs. The Wifi worked fine and Pascal the owner was friendly and gave us a briefing on Marakech including restaurants to go to. The Riad is in a great location we also did a day trip to the Atlas Mountains. Its a great place to come back to after the hustle and bustle of downtown Marakech.

If you arrive at the Riad you get welcomed with some tea and Pascal ( the owner) tells you about the most important things to see in town, the best Restaurants and the things you should avoid at your stay.
Everybody (ownerfamily and the staff) is very nice and cares about your well-beeing.
The breakfast is really good with everything you Need and is served on the beautiful Terrasse on the Roof. we spent many hours just Relaxing up there and enjoy the sun.
our room was also very nice and got cleaned every day.
In a few minutes you can reach everything by foot like the Palais, a Museum, and the place jema el fna.
All in all i was sad to leave after 5 days, we had a great stay and i will recommend the Riad to everyone visiting marrakech. you feel just like home and if we come back we will definitely stay at that Riad again.

We stayed in this riad 3 night and they never cleaned our rooms.
They never changed our towels.
The shower were broken and one of us got hurt .
The swimming pool had the water so tired (yellow-like).
Good breakfast and beautiful terrace.

We chose this particular place because it was among the cheapest in this area and conveniently located for our short visit (2 nights).
Despite a few drawbacks and lack of staff presence, we actually enjoyed the feel of total privacy : it felt like being at home, without intruding waiters or peddlers.
