“A Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 25 November 2013

My wife and I have just returned from a truly wonderful break in Marrakech, staying at Riad Badi.
We have travelled extensively throughout the world and we can honestly say that the level of service offered by Isabelle and Christian is amongst the best we have ever received.
The Riad is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, furnished to a very high standard and located in a peaceful location just a short walk from the different world that is Marrakech.
Isabelle and Christian are the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble, they are always smiling and the quality and variety of homemade food is exceptional.
On arrival you are greeted by Isabelle with mint tea and a variety of cakes and Christian takes as long as is needed to explain the best places to eat, the places to avoid, the attractions to visit and to make you feel comfortable and relaxed.
For anyone visiting Marrakech we would recommend staying at Riad Badi.
Once again Isabelle and Christian, thank you, we didn't want to come home.
Joe & Mary G.

During my booking arrangements Christian and Isabelle gave me a confidence that they ran a well organised operation. When I arrived after a long drive from the south Christian met me at Bab Mellah and took me to the Riad a short walk away.
He explained everything and although I have been to Marrakech previously I found it useful.
The room was a good size and beautifully decorated with a large bathroom. There are plenty of areas to relax in the Riad both on the large roof terrace and cosy sofas on the ground floor.
Although dinner can be taken I only took the breakfast at Badi on the terrace which had different elements each day and was a good start to the day.
Badi is a simple 7 or 8 minute walk from Jemaa el Fna down rue Zitoune, I prefer to stay in this area away which offers a break from the hustle and bustle of the square.
I had a very pleasant relaxed stay at Badi.

Thank you for choosing Riad Badi for the last step of your trip in Morocco and for writing the nice review.
Your comments are important to us because it is your third visit to Marrakech and you had stayed in two riads in Marrakech before ours.
Indeed Riad Badi has a good localisation: quiet and at the deadend of an alley but not far from the big square and its hustle and bustle.
Thank you again.
Kind regards

My daughter and I have just returned from Marrakesh staying at Riad Badi and Isabelle and Christian made our stay a memorable one right from the start, we were greeted by Christian who showed us the way to the Riad. We were greeted by Isabelle once inside with a cup of mint tea and home made cakes, then Christian went through the map and told us where the best places to visit then he showed us around the souke and advised us where to eat and not to eat, told us where the nearest ATM machine and pharmacy was. Our bedroom was lovely with having nice fluffy towels changed everyday also comfy beds, air conditioning also the nice little touches in your room when you first arrived having rose petals scattered about the room and bathroom it made it very welcoming and I didn't know how many different ways you can fold a nightie I looked forward everyday to see how my nightie had been folded, also the roof top terrace with sun beds & plunge pool is a lovely way to relax. I would also recommend that you dine at the Riad the 3 course meal is fantastic which is cooked by Isabelle. Yummy breakfast home baked by Isabelle and different everyday. Thank you Isabelle & Christian for being perfect hosts and making our stay with you so enjoyable & memorable..

Thank you for your stay at Riad Badi in the cigogne room and thank you for the lovely review. Our team has tried to do the best to make your memorable stay by our welcome by our advices by the comfort of riad and by the quality of the food.
All this is possible thanks to our staff who has an hotel experience and a basic training in pastry. Then Soukaïna, Fatimzahra and Hayat have been well trained for the maintenance of riad and for the preparation of meals. In addition they like to do some nice little touches in your room (for example as you wrote to fold differently the bedspreads and the babydolls).
The yoghurts, the cakes and the Moroccan pancakes for the breakfasts and the starter, the main course and the dessert for the dinner are made by our girls except sometimes the dessert by me.
Thanks for them and we have forwarded them your compliments.
Thanks again and take care.
Best regards.

My daughter and I have just returned from Marrakech after a wonderful time there. The whole experience was amazing made more memorable by our stay at Riad Badi. Christian and Isabelle went our of their way to help and guide us. Christian spent the first morning taking us round the town giving us advice on what to do and where to go. The riad was spotless and so quiet despite the fact that within three minutes walk you were into a wonderful experience of bustle and traffic which was quite an experience! Our breakfast was delicious - the fig jam amazing. The evening meal we had was large enough for 4 people. I can highly recommend the riad and wish Christian and Isabelle every success in the future. Well deserved.

Even before we arrived our hosts Isabelle and Christian were most attentive - we had emailed to ask about various trips and they put our mind at rest saying they could organise these once we arrived. Upon arrival it was evident that nothing was too much trouble - a delicious meal awaited us even though it was late evening, Christian gave a personal tour of the souks, a trip to the mountains was arranged for us. The riad is beautiful and the rooms are decorated to a very high standard. Breakfast was different each day with gorgeous home baked breads and cakes served with a lovely smile. It is a paradise set in the medina and a very welcome oasis amidst the hustle and bustle that is Marrakech.

We chose this Riad on the basis of the many excellent reviews and were not disappointed. The service is outstanding - Christian and Isabelle really exceed expectations. We loved the tranquil location which is just inside the medina next to the Badi palace, and within walking distance of most of the interesting sites of Marrakech. The little tour of Marrakech that Christian provided us with was indispensable and interesting, and meant we could make the most of our stay. They were a constant source of information about the area and the culture and gave us a great insight into the local way of life. We ate in the riad on one night and the food was amongst the best we had in the city. The room was well appointed and the bed really comfortable. And the bill was exceptional value. We will go back to Marrakech, and when we do we will book at the Riad Badi again. Thank you Christian and Isabelle for your generosity.

Thank you for choosing Riad badi and thank you for posting a excellent review. We are pleased that we exceeded your expectations.
We did our best to share our experience of Morocco by giving you some tips and making a tour in the Medina that you are able to easily return to the riad after your walks.
Our riad has a good localisation: within walking distance of most of the interesting sites of Marrakech and far enough from the bustle of the Medina. Thereby the riad is quiet and peacefull.
It will be a pleasure to see you again for another stay.
Take care.
Best regards.
