Everything that has to be said about Isabelle and Christian has been said before. They go above and beyond in every way possible to make you feel at home. They are perfectionists who take great pride in what they do. One rarely comes across hosts like them. When we arrived at their Riad Christian went through the map of the area with us while Isabelle served up hot tea and cookies. Later Christian spent a few hours showing us around the square to help us get oriented. No one asked him to but he did! On the last day when we were checking out they gave us the disembarkation forms saving us time and unnecessary hassle (with completing the form) at the airport. They go the extra mile. It's no wonder they are #1 on TripAdvisor.

Apart from their hospitality the room was spacious and nicely appointed with a hot shower, very comfortable bed, and a strong WiFi signal permeating through out the apartment. If you are in Marrakech book your stay with them.

Well, what do you want from citybreak accommodation? Convenience? Absolutely - only a gentle wander from the city's hub at Janaa El Fna Square, next door to the Badi Palace, a few more steps up the road to Bahia Palace, round the corner to the Saadi Tombs. Tick this one in spades. Comfort? Great shower, perfect beds (not too soft, nor rock hard), tasteful, elegant surroundings but not overdone so you feel scared to touch anything and can't relax? Yep, got that. A tasty breakfast, that just 'hits the spot' in terms of being interesting and different enough without being a culinary challenge, changes every day, plenty without being over-facing? Mark that on the list too. Helpful, receptive hosts, knowledgeable and informative about the area but who don't inflict an agenda you don't want to follow, who are interested in what you've done and where you've been without being inquisitive or nosey? Got that one too.

This Riad has, in a quiet, confident and comfortable way, managed to get everything right. It is a living testimony to the dedication and desire to be proper hosts that Christian and Isabelle show on a daily basis. It is, for me, a prime example of hospitality - welcoming, comfortable, somewhere you look forward to returning to at the end of a day, somewhere you can relax and feel comfortable. The reviews show there are many good Riads in Marrakesh, and this one clearly justifies its top spot.

Oh, and the couscous at dinner here on the first night was the best of many we tasted during a 5-day stay.

OMG!!! this place is amazing!!! there is nothing more I can say that has not been said by the 1000+ 5 stars review of this place. I wish every place I stayed at is like this. AMAZING!!!!!!
If I decide to come back to Morocco, It would be partially because of this place n the city.
There is an amazing restaurant (recommended by the hotel) called Paris at the square.
I still dream about their food. The hotel staff are all really great and helpful!!!
I would come back to this hotel soon!!!

Thank you for such wonderful experience!!!

PS: had to put Feb 2013 cause Trip Advisor doesn't let me go back to 2011

Our stay here was relaxing - being only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the main square Jemaa El Fna ... but down a quite street, so a good nights sleep was guaranteed !! The French owners Christian and Isabelle are just fantastic - so helpful and friendly. Christian took us through the maze of souks on our first day so we soon got our bearings. Breakfast was varied every day... served on beautiful Moroccan ware. Our room was lovely, with crisp white sheets and had a combo heater/air conditioning unit which came in useful..... all in all a great stay for our first visit to Marrakech. Thank you Isabelle & Christian.
Would highly recommend XX

Room Tip: We stayed in the Turquoise Room for our first 3 nights - lovely bright and quite room. We returned...

We stayed here last week for a few nights and our stay was great. The hotel was nicely decorated, very clean, and had great service. They gave us a very pleasant breakfast in the morning on the beautiful terrace and also offered us tea and cookies upon arrival. As a family of four, we booked two rooms, both in wonderful shape. They were simple, with plenty of outlets for chargers, a functioning safe, and beautiful bathrooms with great showers. We were nervous about getting lost in the medina and on our way to Jemaa El Fina Square so Christian willingly spent half of his day showing us around which was very generous. The location is nice because it is only a 15 minute walk to the square from the Riad. Overall we had a great time and definitely would recommend Riad Badi to others.

It's hard to expand on what others have said here. Christian and Isabelle are the perfect hosts and really care about your well-being. As mentioned by others, Christian's initial orientation walking tour immediately gives you confidence and an immediate inner map on how to get to and from Jemaa El Fna Square through the narrow souks. Riad Badi is really in oasis amid a very chaotic city tucked at the end of a quiet narrow lane. Christian also delivered important practical information too, about what to eat and what not to eat and so on. Riad Badi is incredibly clean and elegant with daily room service, lovely breakfasts and if you feel like relaxing there for awhile there are plenty of places to do it - from the beautiful rooftop terrace, to lovely luxurious sofas in the main foyer of the riad, to a lounge. For the five nights I stayed there (with a very inexpensive flight from London) it was extremely good value too. Christian was also very knowledgable about local museums, palaces, galleries etc. I think it's also worth going on the hop on hop off bus tour - which basically shows you everything that is NOT in the old medina of Marrakech, showing that there are more sides to the city. Christian and Isabelle were also able to arrange a trip out to the Atlas mountains with a private driver (about an hour out of the city) which I highly recommend. (I also liked their driver service to and from the airport - a snip at 10 Euros) All in all I haven't a single complaint and nothing but praise for Riad Badi and my terrific hosts.

Yet another 5 star rating for Isabelle, Christian and the team. We usually stay in quality hotels for weekend breaks but wanted to sample a riad for this trip, so after reading the great reviews for Riad Badi we thought choosing the number one on Trip Advisor seemed a good start. From the initial booking procedure (that involved changing arrival dates) right throughout our stay to allowing use of our room until late afternoon when leaving was just so easy, comfortable and organised.

The relaxed atmosphere, interesting and witty conversation combined with a 'can't do enough for you' attitude was so natural that we felt as if we were staying with friends. I won't repeat all the other reviewers comments regarding cleanliness, lovely rooms, great breakfast and evening meal etc but of course it is all spot on and accurate.

Christian's brilliant explanation and over two hour walking tour of the City was so useful, not only for the directions, but also for giving us the local knowledge and confidence to deal with the various 'characters' that you will meet (or will talk to/at you!). This acclimatisation is something special that you will not find elsewhere, even if you paid for a local guide, because you get Christian's considered and practical slant on the customs and practices required when visiting this City.

Marrakech is a colourful, manic place, full of crazy sights and strange noises, but if you have decided to visit you really should stay at this home from home Riad. It really is a good as everyone says, and is a welcome (and sane) oasis amongst the bustling world outside!

Dear Graham,
Thanks for your complete and wonderful review. Thanks for writing your experience at Riad Badi.
Usually you go to quality hotels and you have tested our riad or rather our house: we are delighted you enjoyed.
When we read this type of comments we are glad because we have achieved the goal we had set ourselves: our team works hard essentially for the services including the booking process, the quality of food for the breakfasts and the dinners, the cleanness of the rooms and the riad.
All the team wish you Health, Happiness, Money for this New Year 2014.
Thanks again and take care.
