My friends and I had the good fortune to stay at the Villa Malika Silvana for four nights in May 2011. It was our first introduction to Morocco having just arrived from Rome.
We could not have been more impressed by the Villa. The driver met us at the airport and drove us to the Villa which is located a few miles from the center of town. There are five suites available in the Villa and in addition you have available a living/dining area and media room on the main floor. Below ground is located a beautiful custom made hot tub which could accommodate probably 10 people. There is also a hammam/sauna and massage room (the staff can arrange for a therapist to come out) and a small gym.
When you step out the rear of the Villa, you are greeted by views of the pool and lounging area, outside dining areas and lovely gardens and lawn. At the rear of the property are the Villa's gardens. Your meals will be prepared using some the produce freshly picked from the gardens.
The staff is extremely attentive and friendly and speak multiple language. Eliandro manages the staff and will be your host. He manages to think of your needs before you do! A car and driver was available to take us into town and act as tour guide. We definitely appreciated the help in maneuvering around Marrakesh and enjoyed our trips in to see the sights, shop and enjoy the nightlife. Coming back to the Villa in the afternoon, however, was equally welcome! A dip in the pool, a nice glass of wine and the peace and quiet of the Villa's gardens were heaven!
The food was incredible and consisted of both Moroccan and Continental specialties. There were always ample amounts of food and impeccable service. Lunch and dinner were often served in the garden if the weather permitted. In the afternoon, the staff would provide the traditional mint tea.
The Villa is peaceful and quiet at night and the rooms are beautifully decorated and luxurious. The ceilings in the rooms are at least 4 meters high. The bathrooms are also luxurious and very large.
We feel very fortunate to have stayed in the villa. During our Moroccan travels we also stayed in riads and hotels and my friends and I agreed it was very nice to have experienced a little luxury at the villa as well. I would not hesitate to recommend it!
