“Disappointing ”

This has to be the best aqua park in the world, it's fantastic, loads of pools and slides, lots for kids too and all very clean.
Waiters and housekeepers are very pleasant, very clean hotel
We got a very cheap deal therefore it was worth it, however had we paid anymore I'd have expected a lot more, the food is tedious after the first 3 days, very samey. The chefs are miserable and not amenable, we arrived for breakfast at 10am, 1 hour before it finished, all boiled eggs gone and there was no way they'd make anymore, there are no snacks available throughout the day, just leftovers from lunch. Entertainment is none existent, maybe time of year but if they're open they should provide it
The spa, for me the best part of the holiday, half a day £45 full massage, facial, jacuzzi & sauna, lovely
Finally, the guys in the bars are lovely, always happy and pleased to see you.

I would like to start for by saying the hotel was nice, if not somewhat off the beaten track (be advice the hotel is 20-30 outside of town) the pools were very good, and the staff were very friend, however these are thing which you should expect when going on holiday, another thing you should expect is nice food, and drink, i was sick on the first day of arriving, after eating what was my first meal, and spent my first 3 days on the in my room 95% of the time, (as close to the bathroom) the food and drink was very basic and quite below par for a 4 star hotel, for 2 day's in a row i had to get myself a towel from reception as there was know proved in my room, (this took 2 hours on the first day), not very good.

The a la carte restaurant was closed despite being a big selling point! The food was regenerated every day and would be best described as going back to the days of old fashioned school dinners with the addition of flies, wasps and cats in the restaurant. The staff are generally helpful when approached but the lack of information about facilities available was frustrating. The room was basic with pipes coming away from the wall and no bath plug and the bed was dreadfully uncomfortable. The entertainment available was very childlike and not at all appealing. The biggest disappointment was that the hotel had no preference to smoking so all too often the bars and hotels would be smoke filled rooms and not suitable for non smokers. The reception staff in particular were extremely unhelpful. All in all the holiday was poor and we are glad to be heading home soon and would not return or recommend this as a holiday destination.

A nice clean hotel, with friendly staff and good facilities.
An around good couple of weeks in the sun, plenty of good and varied food and a decent range of drinks as AI guests (only downside here the beer, though nice and cold, was only served in 1/4 litre tins so had to get several at a time) The animation were just that, animated, keen and enthusiastic with plenty of different activities for all.
We had a couple of communication issues with the front of house staff but no real problems, and I managed to organise a birthday cake for my wife which was presented in front of a bar full of guests and the staff sang happy birthday to her in several languages, a nice touch.
Met some nice people from around Europe but it was a bit worse the first few days when there were lots of "locals" staying there, not the most well mannered bunch.
Would we go back, no, wife likes to sunbathe topless but the "local" guests made her feel uncomfortable, staff and other guests were OK with it though.

My husband, our 8yr old son and I stayed here for 1week in August, I'm so glad it wasn't for any longer!
Having arrived quite late in the evening we settled our son into bed before sorting anything else out, walking into the bathroom we discovered that water was coming through the ceiling. My husband went over to reception to notify the hotel about it and was told someone would be over....3 people turned up at different times looked at the leak then left without saying very much. Finally we got to talk to the night manager who offered us another room but we would have to pack and go immediately. So we packed up, got our son out of bed and followed the manager, after a long walk we were at the far end of the hotel, away from everything and shown to a room that smelt like sewers. The room wasn't even ready and we were told to wait by the pool for half an hour! This was around 11pm, I'm pregnant, our son is tired and we have been travelling most of the day so we politely refused the smelly room and opted to go back to the leaky room on the agreement that the leak be sorted the next day.
The leak saga lasted all week, the light ended up blowing where water was coming through it, the plaster ended up in the sink and the drains smelt awful. The fire alarms went off but there was no reassurance from staff that all was ok and we were woken one night by someone hammering on our door.

Our room wasn't cleaned very well, there were other people's hair all over the floor and they hadn't made any effort to clean up after the leaks in the bathroom.

There was very little variety in the restuarants especially at breakfast, plates/cups/ bowls were scarce or dirty and the restaurant staff were not very friendly. There were times when you had to ask for things such as milk and desserts to be replenished as the staff didn't seem to know what they were doing. There were episodes of children spitting food on the floor and it being left, along with tables not being cleared and having nowhere to sit. Dinner time felt like a battle, our son and I lived on chips as there wasn't much that we felt was suitable to eat.

Our main reason for choosing this hotel was for the aqua slides, on our first day our son was disappointed to find that he wasn't allowed on most of the slides and had to make do with the baby slides, not once was age restrictions mentioned in the brochure/ on website and by the end of the week he was fed up. The areas around the pools were quite clean but the staff insisted on blowing whistles constantly to communicate which got annoying. Some of the staff seemed to go out of their way to help Moroccan people but barely acknowledged any other nationality.

My biggest shock was to find that the staff had no breaks through the day and had no access to fresh water, on several occasions we witnessed staff drinking water that had been left by loungers by guests and once a cleaner actually took a bottle out of the bin and drank it! We started bringing extra water out to give to the lifeguard by whatever pool we were at. we were refused cold drinks from the poolside bar and were told unless we wanted to pay extra we would have to go back to one of the restuarants or lobby bar.

The kids entertainment was lame and our son refused to join in, the mini golf course was tatty and falling apart and there was no paddles or ball to play table tennis.

We complained to the holiday rep who arranged for us to have a free late check out, we requested fresh towels so that we could shower before having dinner and checking out. I went to reception when this didn't happen who told me I'd have to find housekeeping, housekeeping told me to get towels from the pool hut, the pool hut said they had none so now I was getting angry having ran around half the hotel. In the end some kind guests allowed us to have their fresh towels. The maid turned up with ours 20 minutes before we were due to leave for the airport which we then gave as a replacement to the other guests.

This was our first time in morocco and it has put us off ever going back, the people are rude and unfriendly, the hotel was unclean and run down and the food was horrid. The only good part was the lovely weather but in my condition I was unable to sit out in so a miserable holiday overall, was glad to get home.

We have recently returned from a one week stay. We enjoyed our holiday and visits to the vibrant Marrakech centre some 18kms away. The weather was disappointing at first but settled down with sunshine generally from 9am until 3.30pm reaching around 20deg by midday. Quite cold in the evenings but this was to be expected as it was the end of November. Biggest let down were the numerous clean but freezing cold swimming pools. Surely they could heat just one in the winter? Even the indoor pools were quite cold and the room quite chilly. The first hotel anywhere that we have not swam at all, although a few brave (younger) souls ventured into the water park.

We found the staff to be friendly, cheerful and helpful, also the entertainment staff were always pleasant without being too pushy. Perhaps the exception being the reception where you had to wait patiently as at times it appeared to take 3 or 4 staff to attend to one visitor.

Food was acceptable without reaching any great culinary heights. Most meal times you could find something palatable, a small tip here & there certainly improves service without feeling any obligation to do so. Drinks flowed freely, ample bottled water, tea, coffee, strong lager in small cans, red wine quite drinkable, spirits not the best even for local brands.

Our room was large in ‘A’ block with a nice view overlooking the central pools and overall the complex is kept clean, no complaints. Beware of the back facing rooms in this block as many guests changed rooms due to generator and waste collection noise. Our First Choice rep, Adil, was helpful when we had a small problem, Thomson flights were on time.

This would be a great place in Spring or Autumn especially with children, the Aqua park is large and had a variety of slides for all ages as well as large swimming pools in the main hotel area. If you intend to go into Marrakech more often, I would recommend booking a hotel much closer, however the Aqua Fun Club is fine for a relaxing stay, if booked at the right price, to escape from the British winter.

Great holiday but the food wasnt all that good, same food day in day out got abit boring!! The animation team r absolutley brilliant had an amazing time with the kids and did anything they wanted:) Nina, Mido, Hassan, yusef fantastic animation team xx The rooms are very clean n tidied everyday cannot fault! The waterpark is amazing just the pools are freezing! Would deffo come back in the summer. Thank u all for an amazing holiday
