Just back from a weeks holiday at Terre Resort. Some serious problems that make it a 3 star rather than a 5 star. I had read a review on trip advisor that customers were overcharged and ripped off, and this was definitely the case for us. They encourage you to charge to the room, however we decided to pay for all meals etc in cash, due to the reviews, and every bill caused an argument. On check out they tried to charge 10% Vat (which was included in our room rate) and also 10% service charge on the room (for housekeeping!!) and it took us an hour of arguing to eventually settle the bill. The pool is, as other people have mentioned, too cold to swim in. We had to wait 4 days for a DVD player to be delivered to our room, and then they asked for it back the next day. The spa is nice with pleasant staff, but not exactly luxurious and the restaurant has good food. Overall, the hotel itself is ok, set in lovely gardens, and if you want a quiet holiday it is really relaxing, but the poor customer service and constant "battles" with bills left us happy to leave.

The staff was incredibly good no complains at all. Me a moroccan my self stayed with my swedish fiancé there for 2 weeks ago and we had problems with the HOT WATER that was not expected from a 5 star hotel... so that is the only thing I can really warn You about. They are rebuilding soon their water system but have no idea when so ask about that first before booking. Other ways as mentioned everything was good ..
Goodluck and have nice trip

We went for romantic, luxurious weekend and the Terre didn't disappoint. The hotel is very beautiful and is made up of one large building housing the reception, bar and restaurant, and lots of small buildings which each house two suites. All are set around a fabulous (but cold!) pool with plenty of sunbeds, cabanas and a pool house containing free to use PCs and books.

The food in the restaurant was delicious if a little pricey and we also enjoyed a wonderful hammam in the spa which left us both completely chilled and relaxed.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On our second day, the lock to our suite failed and the door couldn't be opened. The Manager arranged for a technician to break open the door to let us in and then upgraded us for the rest of our stay.

A truly wonderful weekend and would definitely go back there and recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing break away from it all.

My wife was absolutely shocked when she saw those gardens, that room, that architecture. We really feel like we were into a tale of the 1001 Arabian Nights. It is totally amazing.
We spent a wonderful anniversary and I want to thank especially to the staff of the lobby bar, they make us feel like we were part of the hotel family.
Thanks to everybody.

We expected a hotel in the palmeraie. It was in the middle of nowhere and very isolated. Souless, cold and depressing. We were served tasteless meatballs dressed up as a tagine for the exorbitant sum of 200 dirhams. For the next week we stayed at a fabulous villa in the palmeraie and ate some fantastic food all over Marrakech. Never did we pay 200 dirhams for a tagine and I would advise anyone strongly against staying in this hotel. Marrakech is a fantastic city and there is no excuse for this second rate money grabbing behaviour.
