Nice food for not a lot of money. You can taste it has been prepared with care. Setting could be better but is ok.

“Easily the best place we ate in Marrakech!”
Reviewed 27 August 2013

We ate here 3 times as we enjoyed it so much. As a vegetarian I struggled to find tasty food to eat whilst in Marrakech, however Baganziz did a very tasty vegetable tagine. Unlike other veggie tagines I'd had whilst we were away this one had flavour and was well cooked. Good selection of veggies too. The veggie couscous was ok, and better than other places, but the tagine was my favourite. My boyfriend and son are both meat eaters and they had the chicken and kefta tagines - both looked good and the informed me they tasted excellent. My son can be a little picky but he ate it up. The crepes were excellent too, although don't make the mistake we did thinking they would be starters - they are big enough for a lunch or light dinner! Super cheap! Each meal we had came to less than £10 for three of us, often that was with two courses and two drinks each. Fantastic atmosphere. It's great to sit and watch the goings on. Youssef, the owner, is wonderful and very friendly. We also heard some interesting reggae remixes of well known songs! Definitely recommended.

“Just like home”
Reviewed 19 August 2013

We had a lovely dinner here many times. As a moroccan I know quite well the difference between what tourists are served up in the square and what authentic moroccan is, and this is really it! It tasted just like home. Delicious moroccan courses in great portions will have you unwilling to move. We had the beef tajine, and some moroccan salads. Delicious! The terrace was stunning with a night view to the crazy street. The music player was very talented and played some gnawa classics really well & sometimes nice nomad music. The service was impeccable and the waiter Youssef spoke great english for my guests & Spanish too. We were the last people to leave and they waited on us out of sight allowing us to enjoy the terrace and appeared only when we had decided to head home. Very discreet. We also had the pleasure of watching a moroccan wedding procession happening down bellow. It was magical really. All in all a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone in Marrakech for friends, family or couples.

“Fantastic tagine for a cheap price”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

This place was a little gem. For 30 dirham we weren't expecting much but the vegetable tagines we got were superb. Really delicious and filling. It's a simple, no nonsense place for a quick bite to eat on the cheap.
