If you looking for a place where you feel very special then Sofitel is deffinitly a place to stay! Everything, from the reception, bar area, pool, food presentation, staff dress and kindness up to the smell of the scences in the hallways; makes up the perfect combination of a luxury yet cosy and welcomming place.
I enjoyed every second in this hotel.
Coctail bar have a wide choice of drinks and very relaxing atmosphere (they even mad a drink that wasn't on the list for me! -Appletini and it was best I had so far!)
Customer service is outstanding! Staff presents well in traditional clothing and they are always helpfull.
I think is the best place to relax!
The hotel is located within the walking distance from the mai square but if you don't feel like walking there are always taxis arround.
Rooms are kept very clean and tidy they are spacious and bennefit from nice views. Hotel has loads of places to sit and relax outside-little garden area, exhibition area whitch is pieceful and quiet, reception area where u can drink traditional tea and listen to the fauntain, bar with life piano music and of course beautiful pool where you can swim, lay down, order a drink or food thats brought to you.
If yo appriciate good taste and beautiful interior this is the best place to spend your holiday! The decor is beautiful!
Onsite there are shops offering 'basic' goods like swimming costums, souvenirs etc and also 'up market' boutiqus witch outstanding quality clothing and accessories (like LuisViton store within the premises).
Just a few yards up the road is most enjoyable club - Jadmachal with belly dancers, beautiful decora and amazing life and dj music!a 'must see' place!!

Very clean hotel. We were shocked by the prices and need to take so much money with you as a bottle of beer is approx £8. Food very expensive. The staff's English is very limited. Reasonable location to the souks. Not a bad stay but just too expensive.

Just returned from Sofitel 16-21 Feb with 2 teenage girls. This hotel is lovely so relaxing shame weather wasnt better but we did manage to sit by pool. Yes food/drinks are expensive but thats what you expect when you are in a 5 star hotel. All the hotel staff, from reception, door staff, restaurant, anyone employed at hotel very pleasant & friendly. If I was to return to Marrakech I would certainly stay in Sofitel. Lovely location you would never believe you were in the middle of all the hussle & bustle of the town.

Just come back from the Sofitel. It's a lovely hotel clean and comfortable. My only advice is don't eat there and take your own alcohol is you want a night cap. It's extreamly expensive. A small glass of wine is £8.00 and I had a Pizza £10.00 I could of brought the same Pizza in Asda in the UK for a £1.00 it was nothing special. It's very central to all the attractions. A taxi ride from the Airport is around £14.00 and to the medina is £4.00 day time and £5.00 evening. You can get a fantastic breakfast for £4.50 (gourmet) in the road left of the hotel. (La Table du Marche) just ask the guides outside they will point you in the right direction as they all eat there. If your French is not good do take a phrase book with you. Most can speek English but some places the Menu is only in French.

we booked here for 8 nights over xmas... i have to say, it was all a bit mediocre & disappointing. i'd booked for a twin, but got a double on arrival. The rooms were quite stuffy, but we were told that air-con wasn't in use at this time of the year, but we were on the first floor & weren't too happy to sleep with the patio doors open (although we realize now, it was quite safe)

The TV was very dated & only had one English channel. The bed, on the other hand was super comfortable. The room service was very limited, although it was quick & food did arrive hot. If you wanted breakfast in the room, it's 150 MAD (£12) extra (this doesn't apply to rest of menu). was quite disappointed there wasn't a kettle or iron in the room. The bathroom was of a good standard & spacious.
most of the staff, i found quite cold & rude, this could possibly be due to communication barrier, but a smile wouldn't go amiss.

The hotel itself & all the public spaces (lobby area, outdoor pool, outdoor seating areas etc) were all very beautiful & relaxed & charming. The corridors were very dark & dated, but they were repainting whilst we were there.

i didn't think this hotel was upto a 5* standard.. i could go on, but you get the gist.
