Great hotel/apartments, very spacious, big pools, only downside its a bit out of the way and you need to get a cab ride to get to the town centre.

We stayed just three nights as a pampering break and we were pampered (we got a special SPA package by booking directly on the hotel website)

On arrival the staff are friendly but very efficient feel continued throughout and in all parts of the hotel. The location is ideal for who's looking for an oasis of peace and play golf! It is also superbly decorated ! The SPA treatments were really what is best to feel cocooned!

We are planning to go back very soon!

Was there for an incentive during 4 days in october 2007.

> Location: not so far away from the city center and all important sites to visit.

> Service: well, sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than normal for the things you asked for to be done... but the people over there are really warm and friendly.

> Room: beautiful room with a nice view on the pool. No quite as large as wished but I didn't spent too much time in it, so no big deal.

> Breakfast: large choice of... everything!

Pleasant experience overall!

I was here on business for one week, with some exciting excursions organized by my company. Overall, the trip was fantastic, and thankfully, this trip was paid-for as a business trip. This hotel/resort is impressive, but extremely expensive and not a good value. If I were in Marrakesh on vacation, I would definitely look elsewhere.

Rooms: The rooms are big, clean, quiet, and well decorated. The air conditioning worked well, and the bathroom was fairly modern. Wifi service was hit-or-miss throughout the week. For the extremely high price of their Internet service, this was frustrating. My in-room safe did not work. Getting it fixed was apparently going to involve sending out a technician, so I didn't bother.

Grounds: The pools and grounds in general are beautiful and well-maintained. Note that this hotel complex is HUGE. My room was in the back of the campus and as such was a solid 5 minute walk from the reception... not a bad thing, but maybe something to note if you have mobility issues.

Conference rooms: Conference rooms were adequate, though a bit musty smelling and warm.

Food: The buffet-style breakfasts, lunches, and one dinner our group had were all very good.

Staff: Staff service overall was OK, but definitely not at the 5-star level they claim.

Location: The hotel is about a 20 minute drive from downtown Marrakesh in the Palmerae area, where an incredible amount of new housing/hotel construction is taking place. The Palmarae area and mountains in the distance make for an impressive view. However, to see the sites of Marrakesh, you will definitely need to taxi or drive.

Overall: This hotel/resort is set up for conventions, where large groups can be accommodated. With a huge number of rooms, conference rooms, pools, restaurants, a club, a bowling alley, and a a golf course, the point is to keep big groups occupied without needing to go anywhere.

However, if you are not in Marrakesh for a convention or to play golf every day, this hotel is not your best option. It is extremely overpriced and a 20 minute drive from the main sight-seeing places.

I visited the hotel on a work/pleasure trip therefore everything was paid for. Had an exceptional time due to outstanding programme planned with us and some great colleagues. Therefore I had amazing time at the PGP Hotel.

However, if I had been a private guest flying in from UK for a long weekend at my own expense then I would have echoed the comments of others who have commented on it.

The last person who posted has it spot on regards ungraciousness of reception staff. It was a 5 star hotel with 2 star service. My TV did not work for two days nor did my safe and it took 3 requests over 2 days to get someone to come to the room - no apology offered.

The sink and bath did not drain away - not impressive.

The shower head is too low and you either hit your head or have to crouch.

The prices are for the very wealthy only. Everything is absolute 5 star premium price. The problem is that you are trapped a fair way from town (20 mins by taxi - £4 in small taxi or £8 in large) so either have to pay or spend time and money getting taxis.

The pool area is great although water is very cloudy which is strange for a hotel pool. There are towels by pool but no evidence of staff handing them out or serving drink s(if you can afford them).

Despite flaws in rooms, they are still spacious and it is nice to have a separate sitting area and desk to bed.

Whilst I had a brilliant and unforgettable trip, that was because of our trip organisers and great colleagues.

It would not actually take that much to get this hotel to a very high standard. It looks lovely, rooms are almost excellent and lovely location. They just need to address prices, service and maintenance issues within rooms.

The hotel is clearly used by a lot of Conventions and large companies - essentially people who are not paying themselves. In these cases then you will have a fantastic time but if you pay yourself, you would probably feel shortchanged and regretting that you did not get somewhere closer to town.
