From the moment we got there the staff were very attentive and happy, the food is good lots of choice just need to accept your in a different country and try new food there, there is pizza and chips if you are after home food but why your in morroco try the tagines they are worth it! The animation team durring the day where a credit to the hotel .the main bar is just next level saying these lads do over 12 hours a day, so happy and freindly if your lucky to be in there when they start playing music it is worth going to watch would defo go back but nothing to do the airport is so slow and poorly run

I booked this holiday on the reviews of all you people who wrote about this hotel ,how wrong was I listening to you lot !! I couldn’t see what you were raving about. When we arrived it was over an hour to go through passport control, and when we got to the hotel baring in mind they new that there were a party of holiday makers on there way we had to wait over an hour and half to get in our room. The room is never 4 star and never is the hotel, very shabby and old looking it all needs updating. The food is very same old and very bland and not a lot of choices. Waiters don’t look at you unless you tip them, you had to get your own cutlery, tea, coffee or any other drink you wanted for a RIU hotel it was very disappointing. The outside you couldn’t get near the pool because everyone had there sunbed right up to the edge of the pool, and if you were down late you might not get a towel. There was one good thing we met some great people who helped us enjoy what we could so thanks to them Alf ,and you can guarantee the weather.

My honest review about this place

First thing the food
This is not a 4 star rating at all the food is the same everyday with little choice unless u want to live on pizza and chips.
It has no flavour and it you are thinking about bringing kids here unless they are going to eat chips the whole time they won't eat.
Food is always warm never hot.

The drinks are ok. Cocktails are nice and sweet.

Rooms and grounds was always clean and tidy

Entertainement team are good but the entertainment in the evening is only from half 9 to half 10.

For the whole of my stay there was only around 6 children in the whole hotel. Wouldnt say it's a place for children

I done the quad biking with tui. Highly recommend great laugh

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and tidy and plenty of choice food wise. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much. Yes WiFi is very poor but if that is all people can find to complain about them maybe they should stay at home.

This is our 4th visit to Marrakech and we have stayed in the sister Riu hotel and Medina Gardens and we preferred Tikida Gardens out of the 4.

Yes you do have to get up early to get a bed by a pool but that is the case with most hotels. We did see staff moving towels from beds that had been left empty for a period of time so the hotel policy is monitored.

Would definitely return again as it’s only a short flight with guaranteed sunshine!!

Nice hotel, not really a 4 star though. Needs a lick of paint here and there. All the food is pretty good and I’m fussy, all fresh and cooked in front of u, but if your a pie and mash person u will starve. Defo book the Moroccan restaurant as it’s fantastic, it’s wine or water only , so grab some all inclusive beers on the way. The beer is great 5.2% but the spirits are so weak its laughable. The pool is massive but chilly, with loads of sun beds . Entertainment was pretty poor in the evening ( cheesy but funny after a few beers), real holiday camp stuff. We only did the souks medina afternoon and it’s great, the guide does take u to try and buy herbal products but great experience. Not anything outside the hotel , so it’s taxi or stay in.
